We stayed for two nights. Cheryl (who owns it) is ably assisted by her two employees, Christine and Patience. The breakfast was nice and the room was nicely decorated. Given the B&B is close to the main road, Sandton Drive, suggests it should be noisy but it's actually very quiet. Many of the surrounding roads are closed off after 6pm...

My boyfriend and I where desperately looking for a place to stay near Santon, and there was a big mix up with the booking but from the minute we walked in we felt welcome. Cheryl helped me sort out all the confusion with the booking and it truly felt like we where home away from home. We stayed in Room...

We stayed over at The Mustard Seed for one night only, unfortunately, since it was truly wonderful. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The room which we booked was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. For our convenience, the heater in the room was already switched on upon our arrival, so the room was nice and toasty. The double...

I found the guest house shabby and in need of an upgrade! The sheets were old and torn. The carpets need replacement. There was a greasy mark on the curtain. It was extremely noisy when guests came and left the guesthouse. I left my iPhone charger behind. I phoned on the same day to ask that it be kept for...

The pictures of the guest house looked attractive and on Booking.com it received an 8.4 rating, so my expectations were quite high. What a disappointment! The room was big but not beautiful. There is a large damp mark on the ceiling; the linen was thread bare; the duvet was thin and flat; the pillows were lumpy and dirty with old...

Nice spacious and comfortable. I would go back, a good breakfast, the location is a bit tricky in the evenings first time you go. Bath and shower, and nice working space. Centrally controlled dstv is something of an irritant

I have stayed at Mustard Seed Guest House 5 to 6 times on short business trips. This a beautiful 5 bed room boutique guest house in Sandton. Good breakfast is also provided. All rooms have an ensuite bathroom. The owner of the guest house is friendly and very nice lady.

What a beautiful property - an oasis of serenity in the midst of the Johannesburg buzz. I found this a perfect spot to do some work on the tarrace overlooking the charming garden, or just relax after meetings. Cheryl and her son are wonderful hosts, who go out of their way to make one feel at home - as if...

Stayed for a couple of nights. I loathe Sandton - it's bland, anodyne and unnatural, but this place was a bit different. Great old furniture, picked out with taste and style, Very comfy, and would be a great place to drink a bottle of red wine on a cold night (I had cold nights but wasn't drinking those nights). Cheryl,...

I spent one night at Mustard seed on my transit to Cape Town. The room was spacious and nicely set up with direct access to the garden area. Cheryl and her son were very helpful and ready to help (Cheryl made sure I could visit the Apartheid museum the following morning even if the taxi driver was lost many times...
