What can I say? As a regular traveller to Jozi for work, & multiple stays in guesthouses, I was really impressed with this place. The room wowed me, & as another reviewer said, all the little extras made the difference. The container of cookies in the kitchenette to the chocolates next to the bed, the supplies in the bathroom &...

Really lovely character filled property. Cosy home away from home. Yummy yummy breakfasts!! And the hosts always on hand to help or to give rides here and there. Great location close to a lot of restaurants.

The service and all the little extras.........they really made a difference. We were taken in the evening to a nearby restaurant, we were allowed to stay a few hours longer, since we had a late flight out and not to forget: an excellent breakfast.

I stayed at Arum twice, and really enjoyed my time at the beautiful house. The rooms were spacious and fully stocked with all the mod-cons, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The house offers an extensive outdoor area which is perfect for watching a sun go down, and the area of Melville is lovely and I felt very safe there....

Amazing bed and breakfast setup just outside the city. The hosts are quite friendly and even drove our group to a local restaurant and picked us up. The breakfast was home cooked and they even prepared it for us to-go on one of the mornings we had an early tour.

Beautiful place. Very clean. Friendly service. Rides to restaurants/grocery store and back. Amazing food. I absolutely loved being there. Gladys and David were wonderful to us. We were volunteering during our stay in Johannesburg and therefore exhausted at the end of the day- the Arum Guesthouse was our home away from home- comfortable in every sense of the word.

We had the owner collect us from the airport, he waited for us to exchange money - don't do this at the airport as the fees are really high, 20%. Our room was great, big and clean, they had water and soft drinks for free in the fridge, tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolates also for free, great touch. We had...

Stayed here on two occasions within a week as the group I was travelling in were in transit on our way to Kruger National Park. The owners are lovely and made us feel very welcome. They recommended several restaurants for dinner and even dropped us off (group of 6) and picked us up from the restaurant on both occasions. The...

The stay was good and comfortable. Great breakfast, clean place. I would have given 5 stars if they did not have the dogs walking around the house even though they were docile. I would have preferred zero contact with them.
