Nestled in a quiet suburban neighborhood, Rock Lodge sits atop a hill and gives a wonderful view of Northcliff and the vicinity. The place itself is homey and comfortable and the staff is attentive and helpful. Stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms were quite small and the smell of smoke was everywhere. A divider was all that seperated the room from the bathroom. The carpets were dirty. There was an old style 80's TV with dodgy reception. In all fairness though, they did say that they did say they were going to renovate though. There...

This family run guest house is in the northern suburbs of Joburg. Leafy streets with flowering Jacarandas, and a fine view from several of the rooms out across towards the city. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys, with the whole family pitching in to make your stay a comfortable one. I had early and late starts but breakfast...
