What a lovely stay and a very interesting fun bicycle tour we had here! The staff is lovely and caring, the food very good and the place feels homely and chill. We felt really save and secure and the staff was helpful in every which way we needed help. Apparently they have "story telling" every Thursday nights at the camp...

I stayed at Lebos for 2 nights.nothing was to much trouble for the friendly staff. The 4 hour bike tour showing the bad as well as the good and historical parts of soweto. I found soweto to be 1 of the friendliest places i have visited in South Africa. Thanks to all Lebos

The hostel itself has a nice vibe with several outdoor lounging areas, a fireplace en a couple of rooms. It is conveniently located in Soweto to visit the sights in the area such as Mandela's home, the Hector Pieterson memorial en museum and the Orlando towers. There are a number of opportunities to engage in organised walking and cycling tours...

I stayed for one night and did the four hour cycling tour. I did not regret it. The staff are incredibly friendly and the opportunity you get to experience the area with locals is unparalleled. I felt safe and welcomed - the whole set up was completely trusting. I had organised an airport pick up which didn't turn up. I...

Hi Kayleigh, Thank you so much for giving us this great review. We are however very sorry regarding the airport pick up and not sure what could have happened, as we organise drivers to all locations around Johannesburg for our guests, we are relieved that this didn't spoil much of your experience though and glad to hear that you found...

A group of us joined Lebo's cycle tour through Soweto. What an excellent and amazing experience!! Our guide, Chico, was very well informed and gave us a real African experience. We visited different communities, from the poorest of the poor where we were made to feel like honoured guests, to the ''yuppies' of Vilikazi Street where Chico gave an excellent...

I planned to stay one night at Lebo's in Soweto but ended up staying two (and would have loved to stay even longer). Lebo's lovely staff make this backpackers a very special place, and the bike tour with Linda was one of the highlights of my time in Joburg. I'd highly recommend anyone to spend a couple of days in...

Lebo's Backpackers is one of the best places we visited during our stay in South Africa. Integrated in the local community, this place provides plenty of opportunities to truly interact with locals. The crew is wonderful, friendly, helpful and makes you feel very welcome. We especially enjoyed how open this place is - it was the first time we didn't...

Really cool way to see Soweto! We were picked up at our hotel and brought to Soweto where we met Linda, our guide for the day. Linda is a native of Soweto and was so knowledgable - we learned a ton throughout the 4 hour tour. It's a good workout while not being too strenuous - and despite rain we...

I took the four-hour tuk-tuk tour, and it was great. The right mix of entertaining and informative, seeing both the modern condition of Soweto as well as its history, hope and heartbreak. Our guide was fantastic and knew a lot about the various communities of the township.

My mother and I took the 4-hour tuk tuk tour on recommendation from my travel group. It was an excellent view of the history of the area from the viewpoint of people that actually live and work there. I knew that I did not want to take a tour from someone offering it in a big bus like the citizens...
