We had a nice time in melville. 33 on first has a good location, great breakfast and the host was interested in suggesting places to go. We had a nice time at cradle of humankind and the Sterksfontein caves. Lion and safari park was awesome!

This was a great place for our first night in South Africa. The staff were exceptionally helpful and very pleasant. It was clean and they made a good breakfast. It's a friendly place - we booked through messenger and Facebook, and even received welcome messages in the days before we arrived.

Great Place, Close to Everything, great service and lots of kindness...Very Clean Place, the only comment would be the fan in the toilet connected to the light, should be on its own switch...Would like to get my hands on that spider that bit me....

Dear Sean, Thanks for your kind words, we would look into separating the extractor fan from the light switch and that spider would be punished. Kind regards James

Thanks for your review, we are putting a door in the bathroom now and the pool was because of the weather, you were around when it was very windy, hence difficult to keep an outdoor pool clean. However, we are glad you still had a wonderful stay and hope the remaining leg of your trip was great.

We drove there directly from the airport without any difficulty and the guesthouse had a private parking for us. Room was nice, 20sqm but no door in the bathroom nor in the toilet. Breakfast was good and healthy

Please make sure you put small mats by the bed sides...ceramic tiles can be cold in winter. The 2 single beds in 6th Avenue are wobbly so please attend to the mattrasses. Otherwise the new look is very nice and the reception/dining area is cosy...felt at home.
