When we arrived here we were shocked at how beautiful it was. Some people think Plett has to many big buildings, well, if you're one of these people you should definitely stay at Milkwood Manor. It is charming and not to big. It has an amazing seaside view and it's right next to the beach. The rooms are very nice...

In March 2011 we stayed in Milkwood Manor Guest House for two nights. Situated at a wonderful scenic spot, this lodge will make you feel at home from the very moment you arrive. The owner and staff are very friendly and will do everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The guest house is well-furnished, the rooms nice,...

Most probably the best seaview along the garden route. Closer to the ocean is impossible! Rooms are great, breakfast with view over the sea, lagoon and mountains, very friendly owner who has always a couple of stories to share with guests....highly recommended! We came for 1 night but stayed for 2. By the way, their winter deals are unbeatable!

We got married at Milkwood Manor on the 30th April. Firstly you couldnt get a more scenic venue, it is absolutely amazing. The staff were fantastic leading up to the wedding and on the day. We booked out the guest house and although some of the rooms are inland facing, they are all beautiful. The rooms with a view are...

We only stayed one night at Milkwood Manor but we really enjoyed our time there. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Our room, although not cheap, was ocean facing and had a wonderful view of both the sea and the lagoon. The sunrise was absolutely spectacular and was worth waking up for! The food at the attached Lemongrass restaurant...

Milkwood manor has an unbelievable location with some of the best views you can imagine - right over the bay. You can borrow kayaks for free from the hotel door and canoe out to the deserted sand bar - a fantastic experience. The rooms are very nicely decorated, with spacious balconies around the side - most looking over the ocean...

South Africa has many wonderful spots and places, where a camera fails to convey the true wonders in front of your eyes. This is the case with Milkwood Manor, situated in the estuary of a River gushing into the Indian Ocean..... Do yourself a favor and book room number 2 - take the morning coffee on the terrace overlooking the...

Located on the edge of an estuary where the river meets the Indian Ocean, the hotel location couldn't be more perfect. Watch the sun or moon rise over the rippling surf from the alfresco restaurant terrace. Inside the hotel the rooms are light, airy and spotlessly kept. Most rooms have a balcony. The B+B rate for a double room in...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Location: The most enviable location on the Garden Route. At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, jutting into the ocean - any closer and you would be in it! - as well as the estuary of a large lagoon- no neighbours but nature! Exquisite, unimpeded 180 views (360 from the roof deck) of the vast blue ocean, golden beaches, large lagoon and the imposing Tsitsikamma Mountain Range. Nature all'round, yet not isolated, but only a 2-minute drive from the town centre and its trendy shops.A pristine beach: accessible from the sheltered cove adjacent to the Manor - ideal for swimming in natural water – you may boat across to an unspoiled and usually deserted beach, far from built-up areas, traffic, crowds and noise. Blissful solitude and a complete immersion in nature, with only the sound of white-crested surf tumbling at one’s feet and the calls of a medley of seabirds – a veritable bird sanctuary. Becalming and rejuvenating - the perfect antidote for stress,. With luck you may even find the mysterious and sought-after pansy shell (sand dollar). The Manor: built in classic Georgian style, with an airy double-volume foyer and eleven double bedrooms, most with private patio or balcony. All rooms are decorated in crisp white and en-suite to a shower cubicle with/without bath, and a queen bed or twin beds, TV-hospitality package, free uncapped Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making facilities, safe, fan, heater and hairdryer. The sash windows allow the fresh ocean air straight in. ... more   less
