Honestly one of the greatest places we have ever stayed. If you are as lucky as we were to have the game driver by the name of Freddie you are in for a treat, he made the whole experience even better and completely Unforgettable! The lodge as a whole is a 5 star paradise, with great accommodation and staff. Seriously... More

I recently stayed the night at the Bush Lodge @ Pumba game reserve. The lodge is stunningly beautiful, and fits perfectly into the wilderness. The staff were friendly and attentive. The highlight however was the game drive. We saw elephant, white lion and giraffe to mention a few. This Eastern Cape gem is most definitely worth a visit!!

A lovely day visit to Pumba. Beautiful setting, plenty of game viewing followed by a delightful lunch by the fire. Thank you Pumba - such a memory. The weather was not the best but Thomas did his best to find all the animals so that we could take photographs of our visit. Neill also looked after us well. The transport... More

My wife and I recently went on honeymoon around South Africa and we were booked in for three nights at the Pumba Bush Lodge. The rooms were out of this world and we saw every animal from the big 5, getting very close to many. Our tracker was an expert in in his field and clearly had such passion for... More

The service at Pumba Lodge was exceptional from reception to the catering staff to the guides. We saw 4 of the big 5 thanks to our very knowledgable guide Thomas. Having the same guide every day for our stay was excellent as he knew what areas to concentrate on as our trip progressed. The service was excellent, we did not... More

An amazing trip, accommodation gives the feel of relaxed luxury the views are amazing. We had the same ranger of all of our trip for our twice daily drives which means they know what you have already seen and been told so always try to find something different. Occasionally you see another land rover but not very often. We saw... More

We celebrated a family birthday while at Pumba Game Lodge. Although the lodge say they cater for kids they do not offer a children's menu or any age appropriate children's activities. The food was average and the service was slow. The main lodge area did not provide enough space for busy kids in cold weather, without feeling like they were... More

I visited Pumba for 5 days with my parents and sister. We are all living in separate places now we are adults so this was a rare family holiday. I can't say enough good things about Pumba. Lovely staff, luxurious facilities and great wildlife viewing.

Pumba Game Reserve was our last stop on our South African adventure. We could not have been more delighted with the experience. The welcome was second to none (hot flannels and a welcome drink on arrival) and our cases were whisked to our room whilst we were introduced to the facilities at Mesenge Bush Lodge before we were escorted to... Brilliant lodge. Good game viewing for some animals especially the white lion. Good food and service. Check the view from you room before booking. Some have no view at all, just the pool next to the bushes. Other rooms look across the plain and water hole.
