I have just returned from a wonderful 3 day break, with friends, at Marsa Nakari. The village is so lovely and the diving was superb, especially Shaab Sharm where we saw hammerheads, white tipped reef sharks, grey reef sharks all together with a school of tuna, and a close pass by of a longimanus. What an amazing first 10 minutes...

Marsa Nakari is advertised as a quiet diving resort and it is just that. A wonderfully quiet resort without children, very peaceful and staff who could not do enough to make sure that we had a restful stay. It is deliberately set up as a place NOT for families, and that is its great attraction. Excellent diving, excellent diving facilities,...

Marsa Nakari is something in between a camp and a resort, made and meant for divers. Slow pace, relaxed atmosphere, no animation. Accomodation: We stayed in a "royal tent", that offered more space than a conventional hotel room. Nights were moderately cool in beginning of december, during the day it could still get hot inside the tent. In the first...

Amazing few days diving and snorkeling at Nakari with the red sea diving safari before going on to their sister site at Wadi Lahami. You can explore on your own or join expeditions to dolphin house and other offshore sites. Very relaxed, no schedule, good food and very relaxing. Seemed very safe even for a beginner! Tents are comfortable and...

We wanted a complete chill out week with diving and we got exactly what we wanted. The staff were fabulous.. The food brilliant and we dived when and where we wanted... the perfect break. Thank you. . If I had a criticism it would be that we would have liked sunbeds outside of our room..but we had a fabulous week.....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Marsa Nakari is a charming sea-side lodge approximately 20 km south of Marsa Alam city. Its main appeal is its proximity to the Sammadai protectorate (Dolphin House); one of the Red Sea’s most important national parks and attraction. There are various other highlights including Wadi el Gemal national park, desert trips, cultural encounters, historic sites, Luxor, daily boat, and much more. Marsa Nakari is also a historical site dating back to the Roman times and known to the ancients as the port of Nechesia. The remains of its ruin are still present atop a hill towards the southern end of the bay. Marsa Nakari is the dream holiday for those seeking to experience Marsa Alam’s true heritage. Expect the silence and serenity of the desert atmosphere and the world-renowned beauty of the red sea reefs. Our villages are small because we maintain a minimal impact policy towards the environment. Our accommodations consist of standard tents, luxurious royal tents, huts, or deluxe chalets. Natures beautiful simplicity permeates our village theme and our tourism model will give you a new appreciation for the serenity and simplicity of Marsa Alam's pristine environment. ... more   less
