Definitely a trio of a lifetime! We had been planning a trip to Bora Bora for 5 years for our fifth wedding anniversary. If you have the Four Seasons app/account, booking was easy for both lodging and dining. You will need to book boat pick up and drop off for the airport— as soon as you arrive off of the plane and grab your baggage, there is a Four Seasons representative ready to check you in and whisk you and your bags to the boat. They provide you with cool, refreshing hand towels to freshen up and Fiji water. The boat ride to the resort is the perfect opportunity for photos and videos!

Upon arrival, the friendly staff is ready to check you in and will hold your bags if you came in on an early flight— I recommend grabbing your beach gear to take advantage of the pools and beach while you wait!

The bungalows are breathtaking! The resort staff will drive you and your luggage to your bungalow. As soon as you walk in, the television has a personalized greeting and some special touches if you are celebrating a special occasion (we had complimentary chilled wine, chocolate, and flowers at arrival)! We had a beach view bungalow (the cheapest option) and I didn’t feel like we missed out on anything had we splurged for a pricier lagoon/Mountain View. My favorite part of the bungalows were the see through glass floors and open air concept. The staff did a great job of tidying up every day and also did turn down service each night.

All of the restaurants, while pricey, were excellent! Great food and exceptional service. I do recommend making reservations in advance— either online through your account/via the app or upon arrival. I’ll do separate reviews for the restaurants.

The best part of our stay was definitely the exceptional Four Seasons service— very friendly and accommodating! You’ll start to learn the Tahitian lingo for “hello” and “thank you” quickly!

Māuruuru, Four Seasons!

We stayed in 4 different over-water bungalows while in Tahiti (the Conrad & Four Seasons on Bora Bora and Sofitel & Manava on Moorea). The Four Seasons offered the best swimming from the room of all of them as it was just the right depth and pretty well protected from the currents. The room was the largest and although impressive, it was a tad over-engineered between all of the unnecessary sliding doors and the many light switches. It took me 10 minutes to find all of them and turn them off at night. The patio and swim platform were also the largest of all places we stayed and the sleep quality was best. The hotel grounds here were the best of the 4 hotels we stayed at between their beaches, pool and snorkeling areas.
On the negative side the Asian restaurant was below average. The food was ordinary and the sushi was lower than supermarket quality in the portion size, prep of rice and in the rolling. The room service staff was intrusive. We seemingly had people entering the room multiple times a day with no notice and barely a warning knock. Between that and the constant dodging of golf carts on the walkways throughout the day, we were relieved to finally have some peace when we went to other hotels. I feel for the hotel staff as it cannot be easy to maintain the rooms given the distance but I didn't feel invaded like this in any similar hotel - so there must be better practices to put into place here. The worst part was that I did not see a way to put a "do not disturb" sign on our door. Hard not to rate them excellent when clearly the effort is there but please work smarter, not harder.

For our second trip to the Four Seasons Bora Bora, I was worried that it would never live up to the magic of our first. Not to worry, it did.

We went seven years ago with our two young children and returned this year with our now older teens. We felt it was a safe COVID destination due to the very low rates in Bora Bora (and FP generally) and the fact that every guest had been tested before they got on the plane and again once they arrived in Tahiti. And the staff are ALL wearing masks and sanitizer is available and encouraged everywhere.

In particular, our guest manager Aurore was incredible. So helpful, understanding and professional, she dealt with some questions about our room and was able to switch our two bungalows to even better ones. We are eternally grateful to her for all her help and for the experience.

A few tips now that we’ve been twice. Mountain view bungalows are the best, but northern views generally are almost as good. The meal plan is good for those who eat heartily at every meal, but if you just want a light lunch or a fruit plate, you may feel guilty that you’re not using your full allotment. Many of the packages and plans have breakfast included (fabulous a la carte but unlimited given the no-buffet standards right now), so the next time we go we will likely just do the dinner meal plan. We had an appetizer, main course, side and dessert for most dinners but not otherwise.

The spa is amazing, wearing a mask for the massage was not an issue and it was fabulous. The shark and ray excursion is wonderful, the half day without lunch was enough even though we love snorkeling. As an aside here, make sure you have SD memory cards for your camera if it needs them. They are NOT available anywhere on Bora Bora, I tried.

It was the perfect place to find a bit of respite from COVID and all the anxiety right now. With only a two hour time difference from California, we were able to handle some work calls easily.

The pool, beach and grounds are exceptional. There is really no place like it. We will be back and you should go too.

We just stayed at Four Seasons Bora Bora for 6 nights in December in an overwater Bungalow on the mountain side (highly recommend booking room 101 & 103 if traveling with a family or group - very spacious and great views of the mountain as well as the resort, complete with your own plunge pool. It while it rained and lightening stormed for 90% of the time leaving us with only one full day of sun it was still a gorgeous property with tons to do. We were told this level or stormy weather was highly unusual even for December. My favorite rooms were the overwater bungalows facing the mountain side with a plunge pool but you really can't go wrong with any room here. I felt very safe on property as there was hand sanitizer throughout the property as well as clean masks incase you ran out of your own, forgot it in the room or lost it along the way. The gym was super clean, they were coming in and cleaning it in-between every use. The spa was open (masks required) except for facials (understandably). All the non motor water sports are complimentary and with their multiple lagoons there seems to be endless amounts of activities from paddle boarding, kayaking, trying a traditional Polynesian canoe, to snorkeling with some of the friendliest and most beautiful fish I ever seen. The service as always with every Four Seasons property, was the best I've ever experienced out of all the hotels I've visited. If you watch to capture your beautiful trip & those special moments I recommend booking the photographer through the hotel his name is Marc the owner of Marc Bora Bora Photography. The jet ski tour was a great way to see the island but definitely don't recommend booking unless it's crystal clear sunny skies and smooth waters. There's also tons of options for boat tours, swimming with sharks and rays, diving and much more that can all be booked through the concierges! For food - highly recommend room service to be enjoy on your balcony overlooking the crystal clear waters. We loved the gluten free protein pancakes with berries, the fresh fruit platter and iced lattes (ask them to be made with the fresh coconut milk, incredible)! At the pool we loved the Mahi Mahi bites, frozen passion fruit margaritas &the Poisson Cru (their version of ceviche made with fresh coconut, was incredible! Overall I would like to see more vegan/ healthy options on the menu and a little less oil in the food overall but it was still incredibly delish! Make sure you check out the spa even if you don't book an appointment, the jacuzzi overlooking the lagoon is worth a visit in itself! I can't wait to come back here! Also recommend booking at the very least 5 nights (if budget allows) to fully explore and enjoy the property and all the activities.

The Four Seasons was a dream, from the moment we arrived at Bora Bora airport, it felt like paradise. Service at this resort is exceptional and for me service can make or break my entire vacation. It’s important and certainly important to the Four Seasons.

The Concierge service was impressive. You could talk to them directly from the Four Seasons app and they sent a daily itinerary with housekeeping. I didn’t even have to visit them in person which saved time!

After reading various reviews, I had low expectations on the food. However the breakfast buffet restaurant, Arii Moana and the Sunset Bar were all delicious options. Yes, the prices are high but this is Bora Bora and the Four Seasons. If you’re here enjoy yourselves 😊. You can skip the Italian restaurant- it’s not worth it.

The Four Seasons lost one star from me because of the Spa facilities and my massage was not good. The facilities cannot compete with luxury spas around the world and needs a huge upgrade. The steam rooms need to be improved and a sauna would be nice. My massage wasn’t great and I was left disappointed.

Apart from this, I am going to return in the future to enjoy this small piece of paradise. Thank you for the hospitality Four Seasons! 💜

From the moment you arrive, you will be greeted with leis and escorted to the prettiest boat on the dock. The resort itself is in pristine condition and I have to admit, I believe it has the best views of Mt. Otemanu. There’s plenty of things to do such as kayak, stand up paddle board and snorkeling within the confines of the resort. Kayaks and stand up paddle board are complimentary within the first hour. Snorkeling gear is provided (yes, free of charge) and comes in a bag to guarantee that it was sanitized prior to use.

The rooms are gorgeous but does require some updating, handles missing on sliding doors… etc; but like I said, very minor. We got an overwater bungalow (room 401) but immediately regretted that with didn’t purchase the one with the Mt Otemanu view. I read some reviews and they said you will get a view of Mt. Otemanu in all the overwater bungalows and I’m here to tell you, you don’t. You will probably see just the tip of the mountain. Now, about the food, the food was decent. We ate at their Asian restaurant and I was lucky enough to get the black cod both nights and if you are into tart desserts, I highly recommend their kalamansi dessert (photo for reference).

The service was amazing although we had a minor issue during our final stay during dinner, I wouldn’t hold it against them. The staff was very apologetic and we understood it was a very busy night. The staff will also make sure that you are well hydrated during your stay by providing plenty of water. Overall, we had an amazing stay and I highly recommend Four Seasons. I will definitely be staying here again in the near future.

Tips:
They have washer and dryers (tide pods provided by hotel), so feel free to travel light.

Do the stingray/shark tour right away so you will feel more comfortable swimming with them around your bungalow.

Make sure you make reservations for the restaurants ahead of time as they do get booked up rather quickly.

Don’t prepay for dinner. We could’ve saved more money just ordering our meals as we see fit. Having 2 sets of appetizers, main entrees and desserts was a bit too much food for us and we felt too stuffed afterwards. It was beyond food coma!

Sorry it took a while to get this posted. My wife and I stayed here for a week at the beginning of October. The pictures don't do this place justice. It is truly amazing. We had an overwater bungalow that was awesome. We had a mountain view Bungalow on the pontoon that was further away from the restaurants but we did not view that as a problem. With the Four Seasons app we could always request a ride via a golf cart (Annau *sp was our go to golf cart driver for this) if we needed one.

Diego and Ewa helped to make sure that every request that we had prior to arriving was taken care of. They were both amazing to deal with.

We stayed in our bungalow most of the morning and early afternoon then would venture to the pool for Happy hour (2 for 1 drinks) in the late afternoon. We did not really get to try many of the onsite restaurants as we were there with a group that had organized meals. We did use room service several times and the food was delivered warm and delicious in the time frame that was given. We did eat the daily breakfast buffet which was very good.

We used the spa several times and the massages were amazing We each had several treatments and I would recommend the Polynesian massage for sure. My wife swears that Bruce gives the best massages she has ever had.

We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back as it is one of if not the best hotel we have ever stayed. Thanks Four Seasons staff for the wonderful stay.

Okay Trip Advisors my wife and I travel frequently and stay at Four Seasons and many different high end resorts! I will start by saying my experience has been top notch.

Moana Nui the Director of Rooms is absolutely amazing he went out of his way to focus on making my 10 year anniversary with my wife exceptional. He came out to personally great us upon arrival and went above and beyond to try ensure we got the best room possible.

During my stay ( 7/23/20) heart of covid they make the resort feel safe but not overly oppressive. We visited the St Regis and Conrad during our stay, I must say I’m extremely happy with my choice to pick the four seasons. Food is the best in Bora Bora, it’s pricey but realistically what do you expect.

If you’re on the fence on what resort to choose stop, pick four seasons amazing rooms, great views, and a staff that goes OVER and BEYOND to deliver. I rarely post on here but I felt compelled..

This is a must when you visit Bora Bora!

The resort is wonderful. We arrived by boat as is necessary. The welcome is friendly and gracious. All Tahitians are friendly as they were during my previous island visits. The Four Seasons' grounds are beautiful and well manicured, views from the resort are stunning, and the service is excellent. It is a quiet resort, uncrowded and afforded more privacy than other Tahitian resorts (with the exception of Le Taha'a which is secluded).

We stayed in an 1,100 sf overwater bungalow with views of Mount Otemanu on one side and the sunset on another. We had a private plunge pool on our balcony which we thoroughly enjoyed. The balcony was generously sized accommodating a dining table with chairs, two lounge chairs and the plunge pool with plenty of space to spare. From the balcony, as is true for most overwater bungalows in Tahiti (Moorea, Bora Bora, Taha'a, etc.), the short ladder goes right into the water where snorkeled and swam.

The room was beautiful, tastefully decorated, and well appointed. It was quite large with a living room (and sofabed), full sliding-glass doors, bedroom, bathroom and two vanity areas. There was plenty of closet space and luggage area to unpack. The king bed faced the window so we had lagoon and sunset views. From the balcony we also had an Mt Otemanu view.

There is an option to have a double room like this. It's separate accommodations next to one another with a large continuous balcony connecting the two rooms. The rooms themselves don't have a connection door to one another, just the balcony connects. This is an ideal option for families, friends or groups traveling together. We were there with friends so it was perfect. Privacy with the ease of access if we wanted it. There is a dining set, two lounge chairs and a ladder to the water on each side of the balcony/deck so you don't feel like your connected or sharing.

I've been to a dozen hotels/resorts in Tahiti and the Four Seasons is by far the most luxurious feel.

We had an absolutely incredible honeymoon and stay with FS Bora Bora

We shared more pictures and videos on our tiktok at HillnPoo & instagram HillnPooTravel2 if you want to follow for more

We ended up extending our stay because I cried when we left since it was so magical and perfect.

The food was absolutely incredible , breakfast was our favorite meal, but lunches had the best salads, sandwiches and specials.

The staff maid our stay, it is true what they say that the staff can absolutely change everything and FS Bora Bora really proved that, not only is the property absolutely perfect with a huge infinity pool, beautiful beach that faces the mountain

Also not a lot of properties on the island face the mountain so the four seaons really gives you that iconic view, plus they have a lot of restaurant options, a lagoon with tons of fish on the property and the bungalows are INSANE!

Also if you are doing other islands, I highly recommend doing Bora Bora last and spending as much time as your budget allows in Bora Bora. Moorea and the other islands are beautiful and much more affordable but I promise Bora Bora is absolutely worth every penny, especially the Four Seasons!

We stayed both here and St. Regis and personally we will be returning to FS Bora Bora . I preferred their pool and beach set up since it faces the mountain, the rooms are newer and nice and the food was incredible. The staff was also just so unbelievable every minute of our honeymoon here was perfect!
