Summary: We travel all over the globe, and we chose to come to the St Regis for their reputation, both as a beautiful property, but also for their reputation for a high level of service. Needless to say, we were not disappointed! The service level here is second to none. Everyone here knows your name after 1-2 days. They do an amazing job communicating with each other, as well. For example, we were at the pool, and our butler came by and said "I heard you had a great time snorkeling the lagoon this morning". What was unique is the fact that we just happened to mention that to another employee that made sure and let the butler know we were having a good experience. Also, when we didn’t have enough water in the room, I got a little perturbed and that message found its way quickly to the butler, who had 4 giant bottles sent to our room, complimentary. In addition, there were no open reservation spots for dinner, but our butler, Po, got us a spot at the lagoon restaurant. Also, we had amazing French press coffee delivered to our room every morning, complimentary. Food: I read some other reviews on here that said they were “foodies” and that the food wasn’t good. I can only assume these people go to the county fair and tour food booths. The food here was excellent. Also, my wife has Celiac and they were over-the-top accommodating both with gluten free amazing food, but also every single server there knew it. They knew her allergy, but they also knew, very well, every single menu item, whether the food was GF or not. This took so much stress off of her and truly allowed her to enjoy her dining experiences, which doesn’t happen very often. I highly recommend the Lagoon restaurant. Our server, Lauren, was amazing every night we went there. The chef here is fantastic. He pulled off some very unique dishes and pairings that I never would’ve even considered and made them amazing! Can’t say enough great things about that chef. The Indian, Asian and even the poolside restaurant were also very good. Excellent tuna poke at the swim up bar. Only restaurant we didn’t really care for was the Italian one. It wasn’t bad, just nothing special. Location: the water is absolutely stunning. Just pay the extra $$$ and get the overwater bungalow. They’re huge, beautiful and feel like a home away from home. We loved the bed, deck, bathroom, and overall amenities in the room. One minor complaint: they only give you a half a bottle of water each day. This is frustrating because you aren’t really supposed to drink the tap water, and there’s a coffee maker in the room. To get more water, they make you buy bottles of water. If you order one via the room service, it’s a whopping $25USD. They took care of me, though, when they saw I was frustrated with that. Service: it’s truly best in class. Like no other hotel I’ve been to. Some other guests we met said the service rivaled the Four Seasons. Wedding Planning: Deborah was super helpful answering our tons of emails before we came, and helped us when we arrived. She then introduced us to Lauren who was absolutely amazing! We renewed our vows and she made sure we had everything we needed, followed us around, with the photographer, to make sure we got all the photos we needed, even held umbrellas over us when it started raining. The location at the spa beach for this is stunning! This is an amazing place to get married or renew your vows. The official and the ukulele player were wonderful. I just can’t say enough great things about this whole team. Beach: the water is beautiful, there are water activities and fish all around. That amazing blue water that you can only find in Bora Bora makes for a very relaxing day. Lagoon: you have to go here and take the guided snorkeling tour. It was such a great experience, and we were able to see so many beautiful fish, and also learn more about the ecology there. Plus there’s a giant fish that comes up and begs for food, named Terry. He’s like a dog, it’s hilarious. The snorkeling tour was one of the highlights of our trip, for sure. Lastly, it’s also cool to watch Couples Retreat after you come here and you can see where they filmed many of the scenes in the movie. We will definitely come back to this absolutely amazing place!

We just got back from an 8 day stay. Yes, we were caught in the lockdown and were unable to get off the resort to dive, etc. It forced us to adapt so here is what we did: lots of drinking, sunning, massages every single day, and world class eating at the Lagoon restaurant. Two things are clear when you stay here: the place is massive and must be like 400 acres in total and yet despite this size, the service all the way to our villa was just outstanding and near immediate. The effort that goes into service like this is just extraordinary. Your own butler is a great perk and ours was very helpful in getting us situated and sorted. But the entire place bends over backwards to accommodate and please. With that said, here are my observations after having been to Bora Bora twenty years ago vs. now: the place has become very commercialized. The fish life in the lagoon is way down and the overwater bungalows are built all the way deep out into the lagoon. You really don't see much of the lagoon anymore, just huts as far as the eye can see. So why go here instead of Rangiroa, Tikehau, etc. (which are the true 'end of the earth' experiences)? The Spa is simply world class and transformative and some masseuses that are literally Michelangelos (Emma, Marrana, and Chloe I am speaking to you). We dropped like 8K on them and they are worth their weight in gold. The other reason to go here is the Lagoon restaurant which I cannot say enough about. I have been to Jean George in NYC 3-4 times and always love it so my expectations were sky high at the Lagoon and my god it did not disappoint. We loved it so much, we ate there three nights in a row and asked the chef to come out so we could congratulate him twice! Never before had we eaten fish so expertly prepared and the service is always great too. My final point? When we left we felt like we were leaving friends. When you can name the staff by name from bartender to hostess to butler to spa staff to waiter to general manager you know something strange just happened. My final recommendation? Don't fall for the overwater bungalow hype. Get one of the amazing villas on the reef looking out onto the ocean. You'll thank me.

Since this was my favorite resort the first time around. I had to stay here again during my 2nd visit. The service here is always amazing. The general manager greeted us and told us that he can make anything happen during our stay so don't hesitate to ask. That made us feel very welcomed. I stayed in the same overwater bungalow. The rooms here are more traditional looking/outdated compared to other resorts. Also, they need to add some extra lights in the main bedroom. It's so dark once night time hits. I love their lagoonairum here. If you are into snorkeling, they have one of the best lagoonariums in Bora Bora. Perfect for snorkeling. You can also buy fish food at the gift shop to feed the fish around the resort. Super fun and cool. The food at "Lagoon" was SOOOOO delicious. The service was also on point. This is a clear example of fine dining. It was worth every penny. I would come back to this restaurant every time. I don't know if because of covid the butlers aren't as around.. but I barely saw my butler compared to the first time they would always check up on us to see if we needed anything. The water around the bungalow isn't for weak swimmers. It's really hard to swim in that water so their lagoonarium is perfect for snorkeling. The resort is big and beautiful. They also have bikes for you. I would definitely come back again but hope they update their rooms/lighting.

The St. Regis Bora Bora really knows how to treat guests. Starting with our transfer from another resort, everything was perfect. The St. Regis arranged transport and was in constant contact with our taxi driver who took us directly to the St. Regis base where we got in a shuttle boat. There was no waiting and we got to the resort quickly. We had a nice golf cart tour of the property by our butler, Julian, and a short wait by the pool before our room was ready. I am a Marriott Platinum member and booked 3 nights on points. I assumed I would get a lower category room, but no. We were upgraded to an over water bungalow with amazing Otemanu views. The villa was breathtaking. We could see spotted eagle rays and sharks right off of our dock. There was a lovely gift waiting for us to thank us for our Marriott loyalty. There was a bottle of champagne on ice, juices, sparkling and still water, and macarons. Julian was wonderful and made it very clear that we could call him for anything. He had already made us dinner reservations to ensure we had a spot available each night. We were very happy with his choices and didn't need to make any changes. I had pre-booked The Lagoon Restaurant via email which was really nice. We opted for the free breakfast as our Marriott platinum perk. It was fantastic every day. We could order anything we wanted off of the menu. Each menu item was delicious. We also enjoyed lattes and cappuccinos . We appreciated that bikes were assigned to the villas. It was easy to ride all over the resort. Our butler would bring us ice, but we were also able to just go get our own because the resort has ice machines conveniently located all over. The pool is so serene and beautiful. I want that pool furniture at my house and I don't even have a pool. We enjoyed swimming up to the bar and getting a cocktail. I think we enjoyed the Lagoonarium the most. You don't see too many places in the world like that. We loved snorkeling with the giant blue fish, Terry and Moanna, as well as all of the other amazing sea life. This is a once in a lifetime bucket list experience (although I hope to come back). Every staff member treats you as if you are royalty. I have been to Bora Bora before and even stayed at another resort in Bora Bora on this trip. There is no comparison. The St. Regis Bora Bora is the top resort and they really go out of their way to make you feel special. Don't stay anywhere else!

To say this resort is spectacular would be a huge understatement. Not only is the resort breathtaking and the rooms stellar but the service/staff was beyond 10 stars. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left the staff was in top of our every need. Bikes for each room are a nice touch to getting around. If you are thinking about that bucket list trip this is it!. A big shout out to Pacific for Less who arranged the entire trip from start to finish. Not only did they put together a fantastic package but they were there every step of the way to ensure it went smoothly. If you are planning to go-they are your Go TO.
