This hotel was exquisite. The attentiveness to detail, the staff, and the food met all of our expectations. Villas were spacious and spotless. Loved the views of Mount Otemanu from the beach on the lagoon . Kayaks, snorkeling, and relaxation. No loud anything. Just peace and the most beautiful colors of blue water. Go if you have a chance. Heaven on Earth.

My husband and I stayed three nights here and it wasn’t enough. The food was fantastic at both restaurants we ate it. It was nice that different days had specials to switch things up. The rooms were big, clean, and comfy. We could not have asked for any better service. The staff was friendly, knew our names, beverage preferences, etc. I could not even imagine the level of service that they achieved. I hope to be back there in the near future.

Bora Bora and the Intercontinental Thalasso are as beautiful as everyone says they are. From the moment you get on the boat shuttle to the hotel you are amazed at how blue the water is. The resort greeted us with a tour of the property before checking in and taking our photo which they printed off and gave to us as a souvenir (I believe the staff used this photo to learn names as everywhere we went on the resort we were greeted by our names, which was a nice and personal touch). While the service was definitely 5 star, the rooms, water and the view are spectacular. Pros: - Spectacular rooms, you could spend the whole day in your room, on your deck, and swimming in the ocean around your room - Good selection of food for breakfast lunch and dinner, they have a casual beach restaurant, mid level nice dining and fancy cuisine with a dress code, and the food was delicious with good portions - The rooms are serviced twice per day with fresh towels and two free bottles of water each time - We saw lots of stingrays and eagle rays in the late afternoon and early evening just swimming around the bungalows - The views of Mt. Otemanu from almost anywhere on the resort are near picture perfect Cons: - We got a room with a pool on the deck. Be aware that the pool is not heated so night swimming is rather chilly. The pool is great to use during the afternoon when the sun is out when and we wanted a break from swimming in the ocean, but we would not choose this room type again. Tip: The wind was quite strong, our room faced to the south and next time we will look to get a room that faces to the east (facing the mountain directly). It was a nice breeze when the sun was out but not as nice when it was cloudy. Overall: a fantastic place to stay even to just do nothing but enjoy the sun and the water. We will be definitely return!

Dear codak882, Sunny Greetings from Bora Bora We really appreciate your feedback and we would like to thank you for having taken your precious time to write it. We also would like to thank you for your loyalty. We are glad to learn that you enjoyed our welcome ritual, we think that the experience starts as soon as our guest land to Bora Bora. That is why we greet all our guests with a lei at the airport, our bellboys blow on a "pu" when they came in boat to our resort. After that we offer a ritual drink and propose a tour of the resort in club car. The entire team of the InterContinental® Bora Bora Resort and Thalasso Spa would like to thank you for your warm feedback. We hope to welcome you very soon for another perfect stay in paradise. Christophe and the entire staff (Heitiare, Ashley, Kozue, Axelle - I can go on forever) made our stay so incredibly unforgettable. Our family of seven - three of who are 80 somethings traveled thousands of miles to make this trip a reality. From the time we docked upon arrival to the time we had to depart (I didn't want to leave), the experience was second to none. Bora Bora is incredibly gorgeous and the Thalasso resort captured all the beauty the region has to offer. It was mesmerizing and captivating. And while I can go on and on and on as to its beauty, what makes this resort incredibly special to my heart is the staff. A luxury property - yes, but without any pompous air or feel. The staff exudes sincerity, warmth, and down-to-earth demeanors of close family members and good friends. I wish I could have spent more time there; I simply didn't want to leave. If you can take one trip and go to one resort in Bora Bora - this is it. I cannot say enough great things about our experience there. (I'm already going through withdrawal and hope to return again -- sooner rather than later). We are so very much grateful for the incredible hospitality. Loved EVERY minute of our stay.

It all starts at the beginning...Christophe greeted us warmly at the dock, he gave us a tour of the property, and was very friendly. The pampering begins the moment we are greeted. Throughout our stay, all the staff were courteous, and professional. Heitiare remembered our names for breakfast/lunch/dinners - She was very genuine and worked very hard. The location was beautiful, the staff made it even more special. Setting the tone for the experience within each of us also set the tone for all the guests. People were there to relax, be friendly and helpful. I think the staff really sets the tone for the experience overall. The rooms were exceptionally spacious. I also appreciated the Eco-idea of using cold ocean waters to chill the rooms. Landscape beauty to create peace for the body, excellent staff to create peace for the soul.
