Beautiful lodge setting on remote hillside overlooking the Susitna Valley and the small town of Talkeetna. On a clear day you can see Denali which is over 120 miles away. All the amenities you need are on site and Talkeetna is a short walk away. Be aware of the wildlife that is around the lodge though; you are in their...

Beautiful hotel. Our room was larger than most hotels, with a subtle decor and certainly not luxurious. But, wow! What a view from our room! Perfect view from our room of Denali. As an added bonus around 2am, we even were blessed with a display of the Northern Lights. There are plenty of relaxation areas throughout the property both indoors...

It isn't always we get an opportunity to rate a hospitality property as outstanding in virtually all aspects of the facility and personnel and service! This is one we rate as "outstanding"! From driving up to the grounds, to the main lobby building, with a huge fireplace, to the front desk staff. You talk about "first impressions" - wow! Our...

The lodge is large and of course invites tourist from cruise ships and so can get crowded. But still this place is beautiful. It imitates the beauty of the expansive scenery. Clean, comfortable with restaurants on site [ expensive ], laundry and bike rentals.

Yes beautiful outside appearance and beautiful view, but does no one care about cleanliness? Our room was far from clean! All furniture was dusty, there was a 2" wide band of dust on the carpet all around the room - even worse at the head boards and night stand....AND our tub was filthy! At first, i thought they had hard...

We were traveling by train with another couple. We had booked a flyover and jet boat for the afternoon. Unfortunately, it was rainy and foggy. We checked in and were given rooms on the first floor. We were near the laundry facility and used the washer/dryer to do our laundry. It was a nice perk and the facility was neat...

The hotel is much better than your average lodge and located on beautiful grounds. Service in the dining room could have been better but the patio offered wonderful views of Mt. Denali. Many outdoor activities including flights to Denali are available from the hotel. Unlike Denali national park where you get only limited views, the lodge offers spectacular views of...

This is a beautiful lodge. Check out their website to see if they are offering any special deals because it appears you will not be offered them on the phone when you call. We arrived on the final night before the lodge closed for the season. My friend booked us twovery nice expensive rooms on a phone call to lodge’s...

This is a very nice hotel with an excellent restaurant in a quaint little town. It is the last stop for climbers heading to Mt. Denali (used to be Mt. McKinley), a stop on the Alaskan railway and the town which served as the baseline for the TV show 'Northern Exposure'. A great little town of a couple thousand 'real...

This is a huge log/ timber lodge with the most impressive view, a huge stone fireplace, and a beautiful property. There are paved and unpaved trails, beautiful grass and flowers, and the rooms are big. There are two restaurants on site. We had a bad fish and chips experience at the Bistro, but enjoyed our meal at the Foraker- the...
