Checked in by friendly office staff who made us feel really welcome and we're happy to recommend local eating houses. They immediately agreed to a comfortable late checkout. Nice clean and modern unit provided a comfortable stay and a very friendly checkout the next morning. Very close to local restaurants and 500m away from the local surf club where our...

We have a family function coming up and so we need to sus out accommodation. If you love Basil Fawlty, then Orewa Motor Lodge would be the perfect place for you to stay. I went to reception - there was no one there - there was no bell - the office lady, who was outside, had clearly seen me go...

Very dated small motor lodge, adequate but could benefit from a makeover, location is excellent in this small seaside town. Beach opposite and shopping centre and lots of restaurants just a couple pot minutes away.

We booked online through Expedia (Wotif) for 2 nights at this motel in a 2 bedroom apartment, receiving a confirmation that said "no need to call to confirm reservation" and our credit card was charged. After driving for 6 hours we arrived at this motel only to be told they had no record of our booking and that they had...

This was such a delight. To the casual eye this property might seem a little dated, but the delightful amenities, the serene and lush back courtyard space and all the in-room amenities you could want made it such a true delight. We loved this space so much that we changed our plans and ended up booking extra time there. Coming...

Great location across the road from the beach (but no views) and all was neat and tidy. And how quietly welcoming and friendly is Jan! Yes, property is dated, but also has many little touches that made the unit feel more comfortable. Nice to have both a front door and back door with tables and chairs outside both. Bonus was...

I have been coming here for many years at least once a year and it still has that charm and that clean fresh modern touch to it. Its not dated, considering its timber interior. Top it off its situated near the shops and across from the Beach. I think it's the Best Motel in Orewa.

I visited this wonderful place last year at the start of January and this year at the start of January on my annual trip to New Zealand. Jan the owner was incredibly welcoming compared to the previous owners. She sometimes talks to us trying to be friendly etc. Even the cleaners that are there at 10 am are kind and...
