We got a grabone for this place to do the tongoriro crossing. Great place where the owners were very accomodating to stay up late for us to arrive from Auckland on a Friday after work. They had everything organised and ready for us including meal packs. The place is getting a bit dated but overall still quite comfortable. Spa pool... More

The hosts are very friendly and always willing to help. The room is very comfortable, so also the bed. Nice mail made by the owners and a very nice Spa pool. The only minus is that it is a litte bit noisy, you can hear the neigbours in the room beside you.

Very traditional lodge. Friendly welcome. Good location close to town shops and bars. Room was strange. Half lounge downstairs that was hard to use for anything. Good for storage if skiing I guess. My title sums it up.

We had 4 nights here during ski season. We were warmly greeted by Chris, the owner, who is friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The rooms are cosy and comfortable and I think all loft configuration. Brody the dog is delightful. The lounge and dining room are also comfortable and inviting. Breakfast was good value perfectly proportioned. My only hesitation in giving... More

We stayed here for a skiing trip for two nights in a Queen Mezzanine Room. Our room was fantastic with a warm shower, comfy bed and everything else we needed! Chris and his wife were extremely welcoming and really made us feel at home. We ate one dinner and two breakfast at the hotel and LOVED all of the meals.... More

I loved this cute little place! I stayed here for three nights with a partner to go skiing (I'm from Australia). It was good value and very cosy! The couple that run the place were lovely and very accommodating. They had a really beautiful dog too. Its almost like being at home. There is a nice common area with a... More

Very hospitable host. Well organised for Tongariro Crossing groups with everything clearly detailed. Accommodation was certainly fit for purpose, but not high class. The rooms were two levels with an internal stair which meant the layout was not as good as it could have been for the total floor area involved. Bathroom was certainly adequate but not great. Noise from... More

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage with 2 bathrooms. It was very spacious and very well equipped with very comfortable beds and good hot water for the showers. The lighting in the living area was very poor making it hard to read, bedroom lighting was better. We appreciated being able to use the spa pool in the hotel, although... More

This hotel offers an excellent package for the Tongariro Crossing. Everything is well organised and clearly outlined to you when checking in. From there on it was plain sailing. The meals and lunch provided were very good. Chris and Christine were extremely hospitable. We appreciated the special touches, especially the spa and a selection of up to date magazines.

I booked three grab one deals for our family to stay and do the crossing. Right from the start Chris our host was very accommodating. This really is a great base for doing the crossing. Our dinner , lunch and two breakfasts were provided and enjoyed. We took advantage of using the lounge area to have a few drinks with... More
