We stayed in one of the chalets and loved it. We were two couples from Wgtn and Akld and found both rooms clean and modern. The spa tub in our private courtyard with mountain view was superb. Comfy couches and good kitchen. The railway is opposite, with an quant old style station house, and funnily enough we really enjoyed the...

Station Lodge is the best place to stay! Big, clean, spacious kitchen (which is quite a feat for hostels so good job guys), warm, affordable rooms, and friendly, rad staff. The hot tub is so relaxing after a day up the hill or biking, and there is a huge comfy movie/games room to chill in. I've brought different groups of...

I have stayed here multiple times as it offers a range of bedroom options, is perfectly located in the junction and is right at the base of the mountain. The shared areas are large and great for meeting people while the spa is perfect on a cold night. Great job guys, see you next season!

Loved our stay at station Lodge. Lucas gave us a friendly welcome and we appreciated him putting on the fire each night to make the kitchen and lounge area very cozy. It's a lovely looking hostel .Can recommend the demanding but stunning Tongariro Crossing hike. We drove to Ketahi carpark located at the end of the walk (an hour away)...

Arriving after a long wet drive we had a bit of difficulty finding this YHA hostel but with help from the friendly people at I-site we were given directions to this beautiful old building. The kitchen and common rooms are spacious and very clean. Luckily the rooms are individually heated because the hallway and bathrooms are very cold. At this...

Chalet at station lodge was great and had everything you could need and was comfortable and warm. Only way it could have been better is if they could have arranged for the mountain to be open....still the private hot tub pretty much made up for that,

Really enjoyed our short one night stay. Welcoming reception, and lovely ambience. Only complaint would be that we were in room 4 which is right next to the toilets and bathrooms, and in the night when people use the facilities the fans turn on which reverberate - so we didn't have the greatest sleep unfortunately. But we would definitely stay...

Thanks for taking the time to leave us some feedback. We strive for a friendly atmospheres and we’re glad you loved our ambience. We’re sorry to hear you didn’t completely enjoy your stay and that bathroom fan was keeping you awake. Extractor Fans are essential in bathrooms, so I'm not sure we can eliminate the noise, but we could install...
