We called in to this little place for a cocktail and a beer, ended up staying for a few and ordered the sizzling pork. It was really delicious, good size and came out in good time. The cocktails were nice too. Beautiful spot to spend the afternoon or evening with good music. Highly recommended.
Luckydaisy’s is located in the beautiful Ta Van, the views from the location are incredible. I highly recommend hiring a guide from the hotel for a trek. We went out for about 6 hours & it included lunch for $25 USD. Well worth it. The room we had was spacious with a private bathroom. No AC but the fan & open windows was sufficient. I will mention that there was a lot of ants & a few spiders, it didn’t bother me but it may not be the place for some. Also the shower water had a sulfur smell. Their restaurant the Bamboo is wonderful, we ate all of our meals there. I recommend luckydaisy’s if you are looking for a unique experience during your trip to Vietnam!
My family of 3 stayed in one of the various houses that belong to Luckydaisy. It’s a villa some 50 metres up a very steep path. The villa is great, nicely decorated and fully equipped. I guess someone from Luckydaisy actually lives there, but rents it out Airbnb-style. At the time of our stay, there were a number of dutch and belgian families and we had a joint family dinner seated at a long table. Usually we don’t necessarily look up other dutch people on holiday, but this was gezellig. Unfortunately, it rained on the day we arrived, so the first trek we did was very wet, muddy and slippery. Fortunately for us My, our guide was great in helping us, as were 2 other ladies who tagged along to sell us local handicrafts but lent a hand as well. There are numerous girls and women who will try to sell you their goodies, but they are not too aggressive and it’s up to you if you want to buy something. Our guide recommended we buy from the women rather than the girls because the girls would use the money mostly for candy but the women use it to help their families. We had a set breakfast, lunch and dinner and they were fine and included in the trip we booked. Drinks are exclusive. The trip from Sapa to Tavan and back are adventures in themselves because of the many potholes and roadworks. Most of the staff don’t speak a lot of english, but will try to help you anyway and there is one lady (forgot her name, sorry) who speaks english very well and seems to run the whole place single handedly! We recommend.…
Stylishly designed villa in the middle of the rice fields. Spectacular view of the stars at night. Close interaction with the local, supports local economy. Great local homecooked food! Our host Hien has been very helpful that from the moment I booked the property, we've been in contact to discuss and pre arrange our itinerary in, around and out Sapa. She also helped us to arrange a wonderful local guide to take us around the villages in the rice fields, including a local lunch experience in her traditional Hmong native house. This is wonderful for family stay, even with little children, wish we had stayed longer. · Getting in to our villa from the common area for breakfast and dinner involves a little 5 minutes trek through a very steep slope - not fun to carry a 23kg child who fell asleep over dinner up to the house. But Sapa is all about trekking, so all is understandable and not too much of a problem. …
We stayed a few night in this homestay. Everything was perfectly arranged. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Big thanks to Eddie, his wife Hien and there wonderfull staff! A warm recommendation to visit this place! Excellent place in beautiful Sapa!
wonderful place - rooms are comfortable, cozy and clean (both the family room and the villa) restaurant is great, good food, excellent spirts and good music above all is the staff - always smiling, helpful and warm,
LuckyDaisy’s is suitable for a group of friends or family. Spacious lounge mountain view, and live among local house. Clean and tidy. I love common space with a heater. Breakfast included is also a good point. Really enjoy the atmosphere.
Lucky Daisy Buffalo was highly recommended to me by a friend and I would highly recommend it to anyone else. I found SaPa itself to be quite hectic and touristy. If you want something a little more quiet and local then this is the place. Its placed in Ta Van, a beautiful 10km drive from Sapa around a mountain. The staff are friendly and helpful. The homestay has everything you need - bike rental, taxi service, laundry, restaurant, and bar. The different rooms are all beautiful with excellent views of the mountains, village and rice fields. This place felt like a wonderful little home away from home.
if you're expecting 4 star hotel- you're looking at the wrong place. You are experiencing how local people live is Sapa. There are no TV, heater/ AC, nor fridge in the room. At night time, the temperature dropped down to the 50s Farenheit but we were ok as they supplied us with electric blankets. We had rooster crowing in the morning ( they also woke us up during the night ). We also heard loud squealing pig from houses away that sounded creepy. It was nice to have family dinner as we discussed with others on their experiences. The hostess was very accommodating on your needs. We needed to get up early to catch an early flight. She was able to set up an early taxi ride and she even packed up breakfast in bags for us (Thanks mom!). Just be mindful that getting from the road to the place is a very steep hill- you will be exhausted so try to pack very light!…
Enjoyed our stay here - the food is AMAZING! Family dinners were my favourite part of the stay as we chatted with other travellers. The pictures aren’t quite the same as what is posted, but nonetheless our room was cozy and did the job. Good location if you want to be around the trekking trails - it’s far away from the town Sapa so if you prefer to be closer to the town this wouldn’t be the location you are looking for. We much preferred staying in Ta Van for our stay and checking out Sapa for a few hours before we caught our bus back to Hanoi. Be aware that you highly likely will not be able to hike without a guide, if you don’t book a guide that’s fine but a Hmong woman (or multiple) will definitely follow you and will end up being your guide - which is fine, you’ll have a good time anyways. Also be aware that the Hmong women are not afraid to follow right to the step of the homestay trying to sell you things. We sat down to have a beer once checked in and they waited for us - so don’t be afraid to go back inside until they finally leave. Also be aware that Hmong women will swarm you as soon as you get off the bus trying to sell. …
