The hotel is located right in a convenient place that you can walk to the market or to the villages. Room was large with amazing view. We extended our stay longer and happy that we did. Hope to have longer time there
Sapa have numerous stay options, being one of the only big hill station in Vietnam. Our choice was mountain view hotel in Sapa and sapa stunning view do boast about the same. Though frankly, their are much better option around, much closer to market area as well.
Horrible hotel, avoid at any cost. Bad location, dirty place, breakfast not good, awful coffee, tastes like urine with lots of condensed milk in it. Service is bad. The hotel receptionist lady provides wrong information about everything. Avoid, avoid, avoid...,
Be prepared to freeze to death! The hot shower is faulty and you will be bathing in cold water when it's 8 degree Celsius out there. It's decent and clean but if you can't take the cold, don't book it.
I created an account solely to write this review to warn others. Here in dot point form is my experience • the staff speak no english • there are no lifts - I carried my bags up 4 floors while weaving around ladders and tubs of paint • they were renovating every floor (1-4) starting work at 6.30am (started blasting their radio) and finishing at 6.30pm • there is NO hot water • the water pressure from the shower head is quite literally trickles of water • staff give you dirty looks as you walk past (????) And if you didn't believe me here are some photos for proof (I wasnt able to capture the trickles in my photo but that is the tap on max.)
Wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here. There were cockroaches in the lobby where you eat your breakfast, there were no hot water in the shower and it smelled like mould in the room.. Furthermore the staff didn’t speak English so we couldn’t even complain about the facilities. Such a scam...
This was the worst hotel we’ve stayed at during our three weeks in Vietnam. The room had a strong smell of mold and was very moist. It felt like a health hazard being in there. There was no hot water in the shower and the tv in the room didn’t work. Also there were cockroaches in the restaurant; on the menu and on the walls, which were very dirty with spiderwebs. The employees do not speak English at all, which made it very difficult as they could not understand when we tried to explain our complaints and asked for a different room. The only reason we did not go to another hotel was the fact, we prepaid for this booking.
This is unfortunately a horrible place. We stayed there one night (booked three) but had to change since it was awful. First of all there was no one in the reception when we arrived (and we waited for quite a long time) so we had to call a number we found there to make someone come and check us in. When they finally came they barely spoke English and gave us no information about the breakfast that was included or WiFi password, the just handed us the key. There were spiders in the ceiling everywhere and the wallpapers were starting to fall off the wall and had yellow stains on them. It basically looked like the whole place was falling apart... Then the rooms. It smelled so bad from what we think might be moister damages and mold. When we woke up in the morning everything was a bit damp. The only good thing was the vegetable omelette we had for breakfast. At the other place we changed to we heard that this place is about to close so maybe that’s why it was so bad :/…
A damp and uninspiring hotel. While the views from the room we booked were amazing, and the roof terrace is lovely, there isn’t much else going for the hotel really, other than the price. Basic breakfast, no coffee or tea, the reception staff don’t speak English which was an issue a couple of times (although obviously we can’t complain about that too much, we have been lucky everywhere else in Vietnam). The rooms were clean-ish, quite damp and mouldy, a bit dated but nothing too outrageous. Balcony was lovely! Bathroom dark but large. Overall I guess we got what we paid for but don’t think I’d go back. Also they don’t take card unlike what we were told by booking.com! While there is a visa sign ignore it they only take cash.
I travel in Vietnam as a backpacker and, tired of dorms, I wanted to "treat myself" by taking a private double room with mountain view so I booked there. I arrived and had to wait 45 minutes for my room to be ready, guess it is normal as I arrived around 1pm but they sent me an email the day before saying that the room will be ready at 12pm... Ok, no big deal! Then I arrived in the room and, surprise, behind the curtains, well, no window... Glad that I specifically booked a room with a view... I won't go into details regarding the cleanliness of the room which was not that good... The amenities looked old (soaps, shampoos..)... No towel given until my last night... They have free breakfast... I prefered to pay outside as the choice was small and the food not really good... And when the cook is killing cockroaches when taking your order, it doesnt sound nice anyway... The first day I rented a motorbike, I waited for it more than 30 minutes to finally get a motorbike without enough fuel to reach the closest gas station... Was stucked in a street, had to ask for help in a restaurant... And finally, the last morning, they all woke us up at 7.30am with the sweet noise of works... Overall, not the relaxing stay I was expected...…
