Everything in Sapa is more expensive than it should be but this little gem was perfect for me. I had a double room with ensuite, tv and fireplace all to myself which was perfect- for about 15 USD. It's at the bottom of the hill, close to pubs and bakeries and a good walk away from where the bus drops...

The rooms were very basic and quite dingy. Our room was very damp, smelly and not warm enough. The room was fairly clean and the bathroom quite small. I stayed in a much nicer place in Sapa for a very similar price so I would recommend looking around as there are lots of hotels.

Arrived in Lao Cai train station and jumped into a mini bus, shouldn't cost anymore than $3 each. Took 45-60 min and they take you right outside your hotel. Arrived at the Elysian hotel, met by a lady whose English was amazing! She sat us down with a hot complimentary drink and started showing us on a map the things...

Wonderful staff! I stayed here after a two day trek in Sapa and the beds had warmers so it was lovely. I had been sick for two days and when I woke up they gave me complimentary ginger tea to help me feel better. Couldn't recommend this place more highly.

The hotel itself was pretty poor, the room we stayed in smelt of damp and wasn't warm enough. The rooms and bathroom were very outdated. The staff were very nice snd they arranged a tour for us which involved trekking through the mountains. However we felt like the tour completely exploited the local people and also put us tourists in...

My partner and I booked a private room for three nights. Large, real bed and spacious room. The rooms are a little musty and seem damp but I do not think it is any fault of the hotel as it was extremely foggy and wet while we were in town. You get the feeling that most places in the area...

The hotel ran out of space when I visited. So, they put me up at the nearby Sapa Central Hotel. Central location in Sapa (the whole town is walkable). The receptionist speak English, and will try to hard-sell you that all tour bus tickets are limited. (It is not hard to DIY your own trip to Bac Ha or to visit...
