We had amazing stay at Laxsik. The location is amazing and peaceful, it has beautiful views right above the rice fields scenery. Rooms are super nice, clean, comfortable bed and we loved the bathtub with the view and fireplace 😊 But the best thing is the service! We were taken care of Nam, who helped us with everything we asked and they take care of every little detail. We couldn't choose better place to stay in Sapa. Highly recommended ❤️
We stayed at Laxsik for 2 nights and travelled as a couple. The bungalows are spacious, furnished nicely and the view from the balcony over the rice fields is stunning. A little fireplace adds a romantic vibe during cold nights. The staff was very nice and the food at the restaurant was tasty. The hotel is located a bit outside the city, rather in a village but it was easy to start our trekking tours directly from the hotel. Can highly recommend the hotel!
I decided to take a last minute trip from Hanoi to Sapa and choose Laxsik Ecolodge as my destination residence for my first time visit and was not disappointed! Located just 6km from the city center, Laxsik is a new (Oct 19’) 23 room resort located just above the Muong Hoa river valley. The views here are stunning. The rooms are comfortable/quiet and the beds/bedding are 5star. All things considered, between price, location, and the breathtaking scenic views, Laxsik might be the best, least well-known resort in Sapa. Highly recommended!!!
My girlfriend and I spent 3 nights at Laxsik Ecolodge just outside of Sapa Town over Christmas 2020. Let me begin by stating that this is indeed a 10/10 review, but with some caveats that less-flexible travellers will need to keep in mind. Firstly, the tricky and subjective issues to raise. No matter where you go in or around Sapa, you will be greeted by extensive construction works at every turn. Laxsik’s immediate surroundings are no different. The road from the town out to the accommodation is in a very poor state and difficult for even the best of hired drivers to navigate, let alone an adventurous tourist on a hired moped. So think carefully when planning your daily activities and itineraries launched from Laxsik. With that said, the hotel offers excellently-priced guided day treks starting from reception, and taking in all the key sights of the region, such as Cat Cat Village and several stunning waterfalls too. Secondly, Sapa – for all its ongoing, rapid development – is still an isolated place. At our hotel one afternoon, the electricity (and subsequent internet and water-pump for the bungalow) experienced minor issues so we had a little wait before being able to shower or use the WiFi. But again, minor stuff with such a stunning location and view right from our balcony. All that aside, this review is a 10/10 slamdunk because the STAFF at Laxsik are among the greatest hospitality teams I’ve ever encountered, and I’ve both worked in 5-star hospitality for 5 years and also traveled extensively throughout my life. They could not be warmer, more accommodating, with excellent levels of English and attention to detail. Whenever we would dine at the restaurant on site, they would discretely pop up for an unprompted evening turn-down service, resulting in us returning to our bungalow after our meal to be greeted with the electric blanket switched on, fresh towels, and the bed linen and general room state tidied up to a wonderfully presentable picture. The food served on site is also exceptional, combining traditional Vietnamese cuisine with more sepcialized local recipes and ingredients, as well as providing a sufficient western-style menu if one so desires. The view from the outdoor seating area is breathtaking, and at night the roaring fire pit injects an unmatchable feeling of cosiness and warmth. For casual sorties into the town, the staff will arrange and explain the logistics of booking taxis, and the drivers they work with were all equally pleasant. Overall, I cannot recommend Laxsik (and their wonderful staff) highly enough. Whenever I get the chance to return to Sapa, there’s nowhere else I’ll even consider staying. Thank you to the wonderful team there for making our stay so wonderfully enjoyable and spectacularly unforgettable.…
I stayed 2 nights there, the staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice too: very cosy, clean and with a great view (mountain, rice fields). We even had a warm electric blanket. The breakfast was great too.
I and my friend stayed just one night, it’s worth to stay here with most beautiful view, nice walk surrounding to the Village to see local people, staff are friendly, the room a bit small, there are a construction inside Ecolodge, but it’s OK with us. We’re definitely recommend this!
Our trip to Sapa was amazing due to the help of Hieu - the receptionist at Laxsik. Everything was comfy and cool. Breakfast was so good, good air and scenery. Comfy bed, high-end furniture in the bungalow. Relaxing shower with bath tub. Nothing to complain. Awesome.
First of all I'm so happy that we decided to stay outside of Sapa Town, and I was amazed by an outstanding lodge where we were staying. Lao Chai area is luckily still not so covered and spoiled by tourism, so you can still enjoy local life and beautiful nature. There we found Laxsik Ecolodge. Beautiful bungalows with traditional decor yet very modern and clean. There we still felt Northern kindness and hospitality that I think just vanished from Sapa. Special wooden bathtubs, fireplace and comfortable beds 🙏 And breakfast....I was looking forward every morning just to enjoy their Granola yogurt bowl 💕 I had the best romantic moments with my boyfriend here! From my heart I recommend this accommodation if you are heading to the North of Vietnam.
Laxsik was a surprise for me who has been to Sapa & the surrounding area more than 20 times. Our bungalow has a direct view to Mường Hoa valley from a perfect height, high enough to get a panoramic view and low enough to be surround with the local neighbourhoods and paddy fields. Very convenient access by car. The local team shows very good attitude of F&B professionalism. Dinner with grilled local specialties was served in a purple sunset & fire pit. Highly recommended!
We stayed at this property because of the view and because we did not want to stay around the hustle of the town. Our room had a balcony with the most amazing view of a part of the rice fields. Breakfast and others menu was awesome and delicious. Totally worth it!! We will come back for the golden rice season and will stay here for sure as the terraced rice field just infront of this property
