SAPA DAO HOMESTAY

We had the best time ever at Sapa Dao homestay. The family was very friendly, helpful and gave us great recommendations for the visiting spots around the area. We rented a room for 3 nights and the views were spectacular. Also the room was equipped with everything we needed. The food was very delicious too and the price very well. All in all we can recommend the Dao homestay to everybody who wants to stay at a vietnamese family and experience the real beauty of Sapa. Thank you and we will come back! :)

Incredible homestay!

The best place to escape the crowds of sapa! Further up in the mountain (6 km from the city center) just off the side of the road with the best view is the quiet homestay with the sweetest family. They helped us with everything and attended our every need. We got the room with the view, and it was very worth it. An incredible view of mountains and rice fields, different from the busy views in the city center. The food is unbelievable, the dinners with the family were unreal and any food we tried here was amazing. Everything is cooked fresh from their garden. Highly recommended and would definitely come back here next time I visit sapa!

Amazing homestay

My partner and I stayed at the brilliant Sapa Dao Homestay for three days whilst we were attending a festival not far from there. The hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming and generous for the whole stay. Were always very helpful to organise us a taxi at anytime of day and cook for us at any time. Went the extra mile for us every time. We didn't feel like we had to travel into Sapa for food, as the food they made for us each day was delicious! Had many great meals. On our last night, we had dinner with the family, which was the most enjoyable experience we could have hoped for. We highly recommend it, be prepared for the rice/corn wine haha! As for the room, they are all positioned right in front of an amazing view out over the mountains. I recommend paying a bit extra for the deluxe/"room with a view" side though - then you get a window overlooking the mountains while in bed 👌 The only feedback I could give would be the beds could be a bit more comfortable, but I still got decent sleep each night. We will definitely be coming back when we make it back to Sapa! …

Stayed one night

We stayed here for one night while passing through. The room we got had a great view, was clean and the bed was comfy. Staff were very friendly and food was ok. There is plenty of parking out front. The only issues we had were trying to order lunch - admittedly we were trying to order at a busy time of the day but it took a good 20/30 minutes just to put the order through - weren’t in a hurry to eat but would have been nice if staff had told my partner to sit at the table and someone would be over, instead he stood by the kitchen waiting while staff repeatedly walked by saying ‘one moment please’. Just think this could have been handled a little better. Also, unfortunately the flooring put down has no noise cancelling which meant the person staying above us that was walking around in their clogs all night kept us up. If you get someone normal who sleeps during the night then you should be fine. The stay was fine for one night as it’s relatively close to Sapa town, just a short drive away if you want to venture in to get dinner but also much quieter than the town itself. You would need a bike/taxi to get there though.…

Wish we stayed here - don’t make the same mistake as us and book a room!

Dao’s Homestay is a wonderful slice of peace and quiet, tucked unassumingly by the side of the road. Don’t be tempted to pass by, though; it boasts the most spectacular views and has the most kind and helpful owners to boot! My partner and I didn’t even stay at Dao’s Homestay - we were just passing through to grab some lunch and admire the spectacular view - but we wished we had stayed at this place after eating the delicious food and chatting with the lovely owners, who both spoke really good English. On top of this, they went out of their way to help us try to find a lost phone, even though we weren't staying guests. 10/10 A* STAY HERE!
