Ladybird hotel is a little oasis where the staff is super friendly and takes good care of you. You can be everywhere in minutes from here. The kitchen is run by the mother and she is very tough on quality. The staff also takes the time to inform you about anything you may want to see or experience. The rooms are spacious and clean. The perfect hotel if you want to be in the middle of things and still have a relatively relaxed feeling.
We spent 3 nights, room rate reasonable with breakfast. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful to show places to visit. We have our meals in the restaurant everyday and charges is reasonable with a 10% discount. The hotel is in town and walking distance to places of interest. I will stay in this hotel if l visit Sapa again.
My Friend and I arrived at the Hotel after an arduous mountainous cycle to get to Sapa, and we were cold and wet and very tired. The staff gave us a great welcome and couldn't do enough to help us. They brought us hot drinks and turned up the heating in our rooms. Our rooms were very comfortable, clean, well appointed and well equipped, just what was needed after a strenuous day! We ate in the hotel that evening and enjoyed a very tasty and wholesome meal, chosen from a lovely menu with an extensive choice of dishes. The staff were very helpful with a number of queries and even arranged a private transfer for us and our bikes to get back to Hanoi from Lao Cai (25 miles away) after we had completed our cycle the next day. The location of this hotel was excellent, the service provided by the staff went beyond expectation and the facilities within this small family run hotel were great, which all helped to enhance our very enjoyable stay here. It was also great value for money. I would very much recommend this hotel to others.…
Overall impression is ok, not great. The hotel needs some renovation here and there, you can specifically see it in the restaurant. They could give it a new paint job so it wouldn't look so desolate. It's a family business and indeed you can see it is, for example people serving you food wearing an outdoor jacket instead of a proper uniform. Our room was ok, the beds were comfortable. The challenge is the ventilation, that must be the reason for the mold spots in the bathroom. That in combination with the climate of Sapa. The same mold spots can also be found in the restaurant. Breakfast was quite plain, you can choose one type of food and one drink. We also had dinner here. The pork on lemongrass sticks was delicious, for the rest I recommend to stick to the Vietnamese style dishes instead of the European style. The friendliness of the staff gives it all a positive touch. The lady at the reception was lovely. Also very fast laundry service, within a few hours. …
