Stayed at this beautiful spot for one night on our motorcycle tour. Room and service was excellent. If I ever come through SaPa again I will stay here for sure. Also softest bed I have slept in so far in Vietnam.
I have been traveling for a long time, been staying at various homestay in Vietnam. And this homestay is one of the best. Price is good, hosts are nice, dinner is really tasty, clean room. Now if you travel to Sapa, it is gonna be a bit disappointing for you in the city. Landscape around is beautiful but the city itself is a mess now. So I choose to stay away from the city a bit. It is quiet, easy to take a walk around the stunning village. Plus, food is very tasty. So highly recommend you to stay in the village instead of taking the city. And the homestay is a nice place to stay. Especially, the rice wine with herbs in there, tastes good and leave you no hangover or headache in the morning. Even if you drink more than usual, there is still no headache in the morning. Cheers everybody, have a good time staying in the place!…
My friend and I stayed with Ta May and her family for 2 nights while travelling around Vietnam. The stay was one of our most treasured memories of the trip. Set in the countryside just 20 minutes from Sapa Town this homestay was fab, Ta May and her family were so kind and even took us trecking to fabulous waterfalls, rice fields and to visit indigenous people. Our bedroom was comfortable and the food served to us was delicious. You could not experience a better homestay in our opinion.
We loved our night with Ta May. She has established a wonderful homestay experience, with a balance of authenticity and western comforts that was perfect for us. We had dinner with Ta May and her niece: the food was delicious, and the conversation fascinating.
Nine of us stayed at Ta May for a few nights; it’s a beautiful location with a great view from the front verandah. The house is very clean, the food is excellent and Ta May and the staff are very welcoming. There are some easy walks from the homestay, and there’s a (highly recommended!) herbal hot tub spa right next door. And the icing on the cake is the gorgeous resident husky.
Our best days in Vietnam were in Ta May Homestay. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. We are family with 3 children (ages: 12, 9 and 7). Warm welcoming by Ta May & Lee and lulu the family dog! Very nice home, clean & comfortable. Ta May cooks amazing meals & took care that our children also have things they like to eat. Ta May took us to amazing places in the area, she is amazing guide, have a lot of knowledge, speaks good English and most of all she took a very good care of us - we felt part of the family! So we thank Ta May & Lee and if you planning to visit SaPa go to This homestay - you won’t regret it!! You will have a great experience and a very meaningful time also. Markman- Gefen Family
I enjoyed two days at this wonderful home stay. There were also two Aussie couples staying there while I was there. Lee and his wife Ta May were super hosts. Ta May’s mom and grandmother were also there sewing their traditional Red Dau clothing. It was fascinating seeing how they create their intricate stitches. They were nice enough to dress one of the Aussie women in their traditional clothing and teach her how to do the stitches. Really great learning experience. I enjoyed an herbal bath on my last night there and I slept like a baby. The rooms were nice, plenty of hot water and the food and drink was spot on. I heartily recommend!!
Everything about this homestay makes you relax. A warm welcome of an extended famiky, comfortable rooms and beds, WiFi, delicious shared family meals with homemade wine. If in doubt have the herbal bath from the community cooperative bath houses over looking terraced farmland while drinking a beer. You will want to extend your stay or at least make plans to return. Special memories of sewing together in the sun with three generations if red dao women. I will return.
If your heading to Sapa do yourself a favour and stay in this beautiful timber home in the hillside not far from Sapa. From the moment you arrive you get a sense of relaxation and serenity. Our Host Ta May was absolutely wonderful and spoke very good english, she was warm and welcoming and was happy to share her knowledge of culture and traditions... we stayed 2 nights but wished we could have stayed longer! The facilities were great too ! Everything was clean and bedding was very comfortable. And the food fantastic and fresh from the garden. A trip to a local village was organised, which I loved, as well as a trip to Sapa town. Ta May also let us know about the hot tubs around the corner and all about the traditional herbs used , this is a definate must to try ! I am so glad we got to stay here, a truly memorable experience!…
I stayed here for two nights and the owners were wonderful. Very hard working and honest folks. This stay will give you the true Vietnam experience! Ta May had great stories and a good sense of humor! Also good at cooking great Vietnam meals.
