Everything about this lodge is more than you would ever expect! They have a chef (Mike) to cook your meals; not a cook, a chef! And the food was so good! Allen; the ole salty dog treats you with respect and he runs a tight ship which is very clear. Jim and Zeke work hard to ensure you get the... More

Kodiak Island Resort is a top notch operation...the accommodations are gorgeous, the food amazing, the staff excellent and the fishing fantastic. Alan and his staff made this experience hands down one of the most enjoyable vacations of my life. The scenery coupled with the crews knowledge and spectacular fishing made this an absolutely unforgettable experience. Highly recommend Kodiak Island Resort... More

We stayed at Kodiak Island Resort in July 2013 (tripadvisor won't let me choose this date for some reason). It is very remote so you really feel like you're getting away from it all, but with gourmet meals and amazing accommodations. The fishing was great - salmon weren't running yet, but we caught so much halibut, cod and other fish,... More

Everything was great! Great lodge, great food, great fishing, and the direct charter flight from Anchorage to Larsen Bay was a huge bonus over previous trips... Allen, April, and staff went the extra effort for us... BTW - Allen's sense of humor is great....it matches mine.. :-) and he taught my wife how to jig for Rock Fish I am... More

This was our 3rd trip to this wonderful resort. You don't return to places you don't love! The first 2 visits we caught really big halibut, 109, 122, 128, 351 & many in the 50-70 lb bracket! This year we really wanted to concentrate on salmon. We caught beautiful kings & silvers along with all the halibut we wanted! The... More

we had a great fishing trip. The fishing crew were excellent and the lodge it self was very nice. The staff were more than accomadating. Food was good and plentiful. I have to say the biggest issue for us was the owner. Allen is not a good person to be running a lodge. He is very opinionated, talks of his... More

Having fished at respected lodges around the globe, and on a number of occassions in Alaska, I can say without reservation, this is a very well run operation at every level. As on-site owners, Allen and his wife April are the consummate hosts. The Lodge is inviting and spotless. Fresh towels and maid service daily make you forget your on remote... More

I visited Kodiak Island Resort with my 74 year old dad and we both said it was the ultimate fishing experience. Allen and April are gracious hosts and the lodge was super comfortable (especially the beds!) spacious and clean. Even though it was just a short walk to the dock, April gave my dad a ride down everyday, which I... More

Our family of 5 headed to Kodiak Island Resort in August 2014 looking for some fun and a little adventure. We didn't know exactly what to expect so we were very excited to arrive.
