From landing at the beach entrance until leaving 3 days later it was bears , bears, and more bears. Great staff with so much knowledge to give made this the highlight of my life. At 78 years old I was looked after well and can no will recommend this experience to everyone. The best package I have found after searching...

I really don't know where to start. My husband and my 3 day, 2 night stay at Bear Camp was, without a doubt, one of the most incredible experiences of my entire life. People overuse the words like "amazing" and "awesome" these days, but in this case, they are completely appropriate. In the spirit of full disclosure, my husband and...

Great family experience. Staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Gourmet food. Comfortable beds. Heated tents...more like tented cabins. Lots of close encounters with lots of bears!!! Always safety first though so we felt comfortable at all times. Expensive...but worth it.

If you want to see bears in the wild then this trip is for you. Make sure you do an overnight trip, I think a day trip would be just a tease as you only get about 2 hours on the ground viewing bears. If you overnight, and the long days you get so many more opportunities to have a...

I took the one day bear viewing from anchorage. The three hour trip to the Great Adventure Alaska lodge was gorgeous and Maria, our driver, was super nice and resourceful. The lodge is very nice and the meal was more than fine. The high point of the trip was, definitely, the flight that took us to bear camp. The day...

Just spent a night at Bear Camp---offered by Great Alaskan Adventure Lodge. I can honestly say it was one of my favorite parts of a 3 week visit to Alaska. The 6 passenger airplane flight in was beautiful. The plane lands on the beach right in front of the camp. There were 8 tent/cabins with hardwood floors built on a...

We visited The Camp in August 2012 close to the end of the season. The experience was magnificent.Flights in and out were fantastic. The accommodation comfortable. The staff were excellent and the experience of watching bears close up in their own environment was memorable. Even when our departure was delayed by tides the staff made great efforts to facilitate our...

I booked a one-night stay at Bear Camp as a part of our Alaskan trip to celebrate my parent's 50th anniversary. There were four family members in our group with ages ranging from 48 to 76. Bear Camp is a part of the Great Alaska Adventure Lodge. We arrived at Bear Camp in the late August 2007. The camp shut...
