We stayed on the 6th floor on the harbor view side, and were treated to the most awesome Independence Day fireworks ever!!! The room was good: Comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. The outside portico needs paint and the lobby and lobby restrooms need work. Important to note: THERE IS NO FREE AIRPORT SHUTTLE. Taxi service to the airport costs... More

We were there from 30 June to 4 July. The room, amenities, front desk and restaurant were fantastic, All staff were friendly and very accommodating. Great location with excellent access to all of downtown, easily a very "walking" area.

The hotel has obviously recently undergone renovation inside and is simple and lovely and conveniently located downtown within walking distance of pretty much all of town. A nice crisp white bathroom and comfortable beds along with thick duvets are in each spacious room. In the evening, I was thinking the thick duvet may be too thick but I could crack... More

Our SHIP program, 37 elders and youth, spent 5 nights at the Goldbelt Hotel attending the 2016 Celebrations. Our stay at the Goldbelt was exceptional. Their staff were helpful and polite. Their rooms were comfortable, clean, and fresh. Our elders had a fabulous time mingling in the lobby. The restaurant food was great breakfast, lunch and dinner! This was our groups second... More

This hotel recently completed a major renovation. It was clean and comfortable; with a great restaurant attached. Outstanding service from the front desk -- Shannon Solomon you were great! Dana helped me book our group and it was a tremendous blessing to work with her. Thank you all for making our stay go so smoothly!

The rooms were great nothing fancy but functional. The waterside rooms on the upper floor have great views especially of cruise ships at night. The room was warm and they didn't have air conditioning but it's Alaska so that's not a big deal, opening the window solved that problem. The fine gentleman Shannon at the front desk was very kind... Thank you for your comment and we appreciate your business. The average temperature in Juneau for the hottest months of the year (June and July) is 63 degrees Fahrenheit. We do get an occasional warm day, and this summer has been one of the best ever. On those warm days, staff and I will try to get into the rooms... More

My stay - June 21-29, 2016. The hotel is in the final stages of renovations. It looks like they are just working on the outside now. The rooms are done. They are not fancy by any means. The beds are comfortable. That is a huge plus after a long day of hiking. However, the comforters are way too heavy. They... More

Front desk staff are excellent (thanks to Shannon and Anthony for all their help). Room is great for rural Alaska accommodations, average and tired compared to lower 48 standards. Enjoyable time in Juneau. Excellent views across inlet; you can watch the cruise ships come in.

I stayed four nights in the hotel and overall I had a good experience. The hotel is quite central, easy to walk to major sights and tour pick-ups. The staff was very kind, especially the two gentlemen at check-in, Stephen and Anthony. Three minor problems - I write these not to complain, but as suggestions, as all these could be... More

The hotel itself is very ordinary, but it was clean. The price is rather high, but I suspect they can get away with it because the location is ideal. It's right across from the the convention center and was also directly across the street from where our ship was docked. Staff there is very nice. They are still remodeling, so... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are in the process of turning the Goldbelt hotel into a Four Points by Sheraton Juneau by October. So far we have completed the floor by floor renovations, new "Free" high-speed Wi-Fi installed, repaved our parking lots, and McGiveney's Sports Bar & Grill has officially opened and is the best restaurant in town! They are opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner. ***The Goldbelt Hotel has free but limited parking for hotel guests since we are centrally located downtown. Please understand that parking is first come, first serve, but there are many public parking options available in the Downtown Juneau area.*** ... more   less
