A very welcoming home, where you just try every possible place to have a peaceful rest as each one is attractive ! You have the choice : charming chairs on a small bridge looking over a singing little creek, a rocking chair on the terrasse of the cabin, comfortable armchairs in the living room... Wide windows open on the forest...

Before we even arrived we had a real treat on the drive up the Hope Highway. Stopped at one of the pull-over sites and there were 6-7 Beluga whales putting on a show right in front of us!! Then we found this delightful cabin a few miles out of Hope. There are neighbors a ways behind the cabin but there...

After hiking up to the Harding Ice Field and a day of kayaking in Seward, Maggie's Cabin in the Wilderness was the perfect place for a day or two of rest and relaxation to gear up for 5 days of fishing in Ninilchik! From the minute you arrive, Maggie makes you fell like your at home!

Black Bear Bed and Breakfast immediately feels like your home in the wilderness. Maggie is a gem of a hostess who makes you feel like you've known her forever. We sat all evening on the bridge, sipping wine and swapping tales until the setting sun told us it was time to retire. The big log bed beckoned, and sleep came...

Black Bear Bed and Breakfast is an absolute gem of a B&B. My 9 year old son and I took an our first Alaskan adventure and Maggie and her cabin felt like home. We stayed for 6 nights and our stay could not of been more enjoyable and I look foward to staying again with my wife and daughters in...

Maggie was so friendly and helpful from the first email I sent her. I am so glad I found this gem through tripadvisor! I stayed here with my one year old and my husband and had a wonderful time. It is a nice private cabin with a continental style breakfast on your own. It is also equipped with a full...

A last minute cancelation allowed us to stay at Maggie's cabin on Solstice, the longest day of the year! The cabin is beautiful and very well appointed. A short drive and we were in downtown Hope... Live music, good food and beer. I would highly recomended checking out Hope and staying at Maggie's cabin any day of the year!

After corresponding with Maggie regarding accommodation at her cottage I was excited to meet the lady who had answered all my requests so promptly, with a friendly and welcoming manner.... and I was not disappointed receiving a lovely welcome from the lady herself upon our arrival. Our first preference was to stay here earlier in our Kenai Peninsula trip but...

My wife and I spent one night at Black Bear while touring AK by motorcycle. The cabin was picture perfect, clean, private, quiet and super comfortable. Maggie was a very gracious host. The breakfast part of the B&B was a help yourself to a few items in the kitchen, but that suited our travel style better than the more formal...

There is nowhere else in the world I would rather stay for comfort, warmth, quiet and peace. For r rough corners left after a plane flight. We missed the nights apparently spend around the fire listening to Maggie sing songs of Hope and provide its history, but she was captivating enough even in short conversation. If you are in Alaska,...
