Basic but nice little cabins near Denali NP. They are clean and have workable kitchens and enough room for a family of four. The proprietor, Doug, wants you to have a great stay (he even let us borrow some butter for making eggs). It was a little tough to find but well worth the short hunt. We stayed for two...

We really enjoyed our stay at the Alaskan spruce cabin. The staff were very nice and accommodated our late arrival time. The cabin had lots of storage available. The beds were comfortable. The wifi worked well in our cabin. The scenery all around the cabin was beautiful. Our only disappointment was not seeing any moose in the area. Silly moose...

To find the cabins was a saga. We went through any possible trail, road and even through a coal mine in this tiny community until, at close to midnight we found our nice cabin. As we lhad to leave the following morning we could not enjoy the place, but it responded to our needs. Very clean. Had everything one needs...

We stayed here 3 nights and it was my favorite spot out of the 5 places we stayed while in Alaska. There are 3 cabins with front porches, all facing a nice panoramic mountain view. The cabin was spacious with a full kitchen. It's located in a quiet area away from all the tourists but it's just a short drive...

We spent 3 nights in one of the cabins on an in-State vacation. We wanted to be away from the tourists and support the local folks. The cabins are very nice and in a beautiful, quiet location. Doug and Terra (and the other family members that we talked to and got advice from) were all great. And we love staying...

These cabins are located in Healy, a tiny little town 12 miles north of the entrance to Denali National Park. Wonderful place to stay out of the hub-bub of the Denali Park Canyon area (which is crowded, full of huge tourist buses and cheesy shops). Three cabins each with a nice deck and a fantastic view of the mountains to...

Three very clean separate cabins with comfortable beds and full housekeeping. The views from the front window are a dramatic mountain panorama. Near entrance to Denali National Park with owner / builder on site. Doug and his daughter Terra try their very best to meet your needs. Good value for the area considering hotels are is very short supply and...

I just came back from my trip to Alaska. It was one of those trips you cherish for years to come. Alaska Spruce Cabin we stayed in made our trip far more special. The owner, Doug and his daughter Terra were the most friendly people I have ever met.The moment you meet them, they treat you like an old friend. They...

We wanted to tour Denali National Park and we came across these cabins. It was our good fortune to come with our food and enjoy a few nights in the woods and be 12 miles from Denali. The cabins were built by the owner and he takes great pride in the cabins and is present to help with any needs...

First of all, if you have any lofty thoughts about staying in either Healy or Denali, you'd best lose them FAST! If you're into massive tundras with very few wild animals, Denali might be for you. But if you are a foodie, forget about this area. Personally, for what it costs to get to Alaska and Denali, we preferred Glacier...
