The lower Chilkoot River drainage is an anglers paradise and the Chilkoot River Lodge provides a million dollar view over this corridor. Beside that, the lodge is exceptional clean and offers a great barbecue area as well as a private fire place right beside the river.

This was our second visit and one of the few places in our travels that we just had to go back to. Comfortable rooms overlooking a lovely stretch of the Chilkoot River. Paradise for bear watchers and anglers alike during the salmon run. Just 3 rooms and obligiing but very unimposing hosts. Some 11 niles out of town so you...

The lodge is located at the entrance of a state park. The rates were great and I didn't want to leave. The view was breathtaking. The native host was more than accommodating and shared a lot of personal history.

Just had one night at this B&B but it has the most wonderful setting overlooking the Chilkoot river, unfortunately we were too early for the Bears which feed just 20 yards below but we saw plenty bald eagles soaring above the forested valley sides. The accommodation was immaculate and the blueberry muffins were the best ever. Treat yourself to stay...

I can only repeat what others have said – the location and views are spectacular. So nice to sit out on the back patio watching and listening to the bald eagles and keeping an eye out for a grizzly and then retire to a very comfortable bed with gorgeous linens. What an amazing thrill to see a grizzly the next...

There are only 3 rooms in this particular lodge, it is pet friendly. Our room was in the middle, it overlooked the Chilkoot River and the view was so stunning, we enjoyed just sitting on the back patio, listening to the sound of the flowing river, the call of the eagles, and the wind in the trees. I want to...

I stayed at CRL the second week of August. I can't add much to what other reviewers have already said - this lodge is beyond wonderful if you love nature and wildlife. Every morning I would wake to the sound of bald eagles - and stroll onto the porch to watch the bears parade up and down the riverbank throughout...

The pictures do not do it justice. The view from the room is amazing. The rooms are clean and quaint, the beds are super comfy and the location is perfect. We were a little early for the salmon run but we did see a grizzly walking the river looking for the early salmon. The price for this place is very...

Chilkoot Lodge may well be paradise - it is set up on the bank of the river and has the most spectacular yet serene view. If I were to look at one landscape for the rest of time I think this would be the one. The rooms themselves are big, comfortable and well kitted out with tea/coffee making, fresh muffins...

Everything about this lodge is superb. It is clean, comfortable, well equipped, quiet and located on a lovely stretch of the Chilkoot River. Sue, the proprietor, is a lovely lady and a mine of information about the area and its indigenous people. We very much enjoyed our stay here despite not seeing any bears (the nesting Bald Eagles feeding their...
