It is quite out of the way. A 15 minute ride from the Pulmitan bus terminal. The map showed it was a few minute ride, but addresses in Costa Rica are like no other place on earth. It 2as very clean, good wifi and hot water in the shower.
I have been there for 4 days vacation et everything was right. The personnel was nice and helpfull. The rooms are clean and the bathroom too. They're not too big but comfortable. They got also the A/C and a TV with satellites channels. I'll go back there one more time whenever I have to.
This hotel is perfect if you are staying in San Jose for a night or two and on your way to another place. It is clean and decently priced. Try to book ahead so you can get a cheaper rate. If you just show up, you will likely be given a room with A/C (not necessary most of the time in San Jose), which is more expensive. The rooms without A/C have nice views and you can open your window. There is cable TV and supposedly, WI-FI but it has never worked for me. There are 2 slow computers you can use if you really need to check your email. The showers are warm and the beds comfortable. It can be loud here late at night and early in the morning as you are in a high traffic area with lots of bars. Just bring your ear plugs (life lesson for traveling in Costa Rica-- you won't regret it, trust me!). The staff is nice but not overly helpful so know what you are doing and where you are going. Good place to save a little money when you're in San Jose for the night!…
Very centric, comfortable and clean. Staff are nice. Has WIFI, cable TV overhead heated showers. Just be prepared for some traffic and noises after 10pm, it is used for hook ups by grown ups who still live with their parents (which is very common in Costa Rican culture). There are several ok bars nearby that attract clientele. So if you are on a limited budget you could get a room with a double bed for $25 and if you only need to stop for a night or two and if you go to bed really early you will be fine...which was our case UNTIL the day we arrived late at night after going to the ER for a twisted ankle getting off the bus from Monteverde, that is when we figured out what was the deal. :)
