I booked a private room and was stunned by how musky and dark it was. More disturbing was the poor condition of the shared bathroom (which you had to walk through on the way to the room, oddly enough). I immediately asked for and moved to, with an additional fee, a more airy of the "VIP" rooms. Unfortunately, it was...

I liked the building, it's a maze, but it has industrial feeling to it. And that's pretty much about positives. At first, they messed up my reservation, so when I came, it was not nice $11 for a dorm bed, but $15 and I was lucky that they had a free bed. "Community manager" (aka "the guy with a computer")...

Hostel pangea was a nice, short stay for a friend and I in costa rica. the rooms were simple adn the showers were hot but had no hooks or space to place your clothing without getting them soaked. the area is very secure with a door man minding hte front. the hostel also has a great bar area with and...

First off, the staff were friendly and the computers upstairs were great. However, we stayed in a double room that (as the other reviews suggest) was very similar to a prison cell. Very dark and no window we could open - just a pane of glass. The worst was yet to come - we organised a rafting tour through Hostel...

I stayed here 2 time for each 1 night. The hostel is good and clean. A little bit pricey for the dorms and the restaurant as well, not hostel price, and the quality didnt really conviced me. Is loud beacause of the reastaurant that play music for all day. The staff is super friendly and the shuttle service for the...

Hostel has a pool, upstairs bar and restaurant, great patio overlooking the city, and clean rooms/bathrooms. It is in a very sketchy part of town, but a convenient walk to a bus terminal. (Most people just get in and get out of San Jose anyway.) We stayed there for a night coming in and a night heading out of the...

the pos: quiet, clean, helpful, well located, you feel safe inside, it seems quite a big hostel so you will meet people in the common room in case you don't wanna go out in san jose at night the cons: food is just ok and a expensive, go to the pedestrian to find some food or take a cab to...

This hostel was so much fun! My friends and I only stayed for one night but it was an incredible night! We played billiards, swam in the pool, played card games, got to know other travelers, and drank some good drinks! The people who come through this hostel are a blast! Go to party, have a good time, and get...

Our first Hostel in Costa Rica when arrived in SJ. After 2 weeks spend in CR only in Hostel, I can say that this one is in average +. Stayed one night in dorm (6beds) with 4 friends. The room was basic but clean ! + Very well centered (close to downtown, bars and restaurants), friendly welcome by the staff,...

Quite a cheap airport shuttle at $11 as long as there are other people taking it as well. Walking distance from some of the main bus stops as well. Rooms aren’t great – some of the bunk beds don’t have ladders so you just have to jump up. No power outlets either so you have to wait in the communal...
