Stayed here for 2 nights on a higher floor, - what an amazing view! Large room with all amenities. Breakfast downstairs is very good (and service at the restaurant is great. But the reception people really need some professional training.
Due to being in San Jose for dental procedures and the dental office was just a 10 minute walk away. It features with a pool and jacuzzi. We were able to get a 12 floor room, and has a great view of sunrise and the night profile of San Jose facing North. The one cleaning staff for our room, would add some special touches, such as creating pretty patterns with the bed scarf, and remembered when we had our second stay that I had a special way of organizing my bathroom junk, which I did not do the second time. She fixed it up the way I like, facilitating the organization. I thought this was very thoughtful of her. Most other staff was accommodating. Front desk was helpful. The buffet breakfast, included, was very good. Typical food, fresh fruit all served by staff efficiently and included local cheeses, fruit, and meats, and more. Of course Gallo Pinto. WE ordered up dinner twice and both times thought it was less than averaging. Had one complaint during total of 10 days, and management was good in getting it handled, and gave us 2 bottles of complimentary water. Please note, the pool is not heated and the jacuzzi has no active jets that create more that low, very low bubbling action. The room is nice and large, couple of chairs, big windows for the great view, and terrific shower head great water pressure.…
The front desk staff was helpful and friendly, the lady serving the breakfast buffet was excellent and the housekeeping staff was great. All in all, a great hotel. The only negative was that the pool was not heated, so it was too cold to swim, but the pool area was nice.
Newly renovated, modern design, and friendly staff make this property efficient for an overnight in San Jose. The Park Inn brand isn't fancy, but this is as good as you get for a Park Inn or similar caliber hotel. Try the Argentinian restaurant 2 blocks away for great empanadas.
Stayed for two days on route to Puerto Viejo. Very clean and comfortable. Great location to many restaurants and attractions. Even the hotel restaurant was very good. Burgers some of the best we ever had!
