Fabulous stay! The owner Lily was welcoming and always helping and warm. The room was clean and had a good AC, which is not common for a boutique hotel. It did not have a fridge but we never felt need in it. Breakfast (choice of traditional rice&beans, pancakes or omelette with ham - our favorite) combined with delicious morning coffee, fruit and toasts with jam - fueled beginning of every day with energy. Lily has advised on the best tours in CR and actually connected us with an English-speaking taxi driver whom we hired for a few days, which turned out to be more convenient, cheaper and safer (not sharing a van with other tourists during the coronavirus outbreak). I highly recommend Casa Primo and would definitely stay there again!
We loved Casa Primo. The owner was wonderful and helped us find great places to visit that were not in the tour guides. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast of eggs, fruit, juices of all tropical varieties, and coffee was filling and served hot. It is in a good neighbor near the airport with excellent restaurants in the area. Will definitely return.
The spacious room with two big beds, a big bathroom and air-conditioning (with an additional small area for snack prep/storage) was comfortable; our easy late check-in at 11 pm was much appreciated after our flight arrived more than four hours late. We liked the nice breakfast (we all had pancakes) and the pool/garden area for relaxing in. Lily the owner was also very friendly. We took our own taxi from the airport which was straightforward. A good start to our holiday in Costa Rica.
What a delightful first night in Costa Rica we had at the Casa Primo CR. Despite arriving extremely late, our hostess was extremely friendly, thoughtful and welcomed us warmly. The hotel itself was charming, with indoor/outdoor cafe-style seating for breakfast and a beautifully designed pool. Breakfast of fresh fruit, omelets and gallo pinto was a delicious introduction to CR cuisine. The hotel was just 5 minutes from our car rental office, but felt very secluded and quiet. Wonderful place to stay-- we highly recommend it!
What a find!!!! I have been in the trave industry for over 30 years and this is truly one of the best small hotels I have ever stayed at. From the moment the door is opened you are welcomed home. The rooms are large even oversized compared to regular hotel rooms. Beds are very comfortable and decor is quite Spanish with all the wood mohagany. There is a kitchen you can use and a lovely common area with classic music playing in the back ground. Small pool with an adjacent hot tub. There is a $25 surcharge to use the tub as the heat needs to be turned on 3 hours prior. We used it the first night we were there and it was well worth it. The breakfasts were incredible....either omelettes or typical Costa Rica. Lots of fresh fruit and fresh squeezed juice. The owner Lily made us feel like family in the 3 days we stayed there. More than happy to answer all questions in either Spanish or English. The hotel is close to the airport and to do day trips from. I will definitely advise this hotel to my clients.…
