Hotel is walking distance to many resturants and shops in downtown San Jose. Very clean and quiet. There is a large terrace on the second floor that is available for the guests to sit outside. Wifi was excellent.

Aida (EYEaida) is cool 60 plus women with family operation. Clean, Clean, Clean, a nice deck to sit in overlooking central San Jose, Safe. If you feed the guard Aida cut your fingers off, if you open the door for a fellow traveller, you could be disemboweeled- breakfast incl., good,, world experienced world travellers to talk to. The coffee not that great and the pot hard to pour packaged sugar sucks and the creams lacking, but the price for safety as to location and lifestyle for basic honest God understanding curious people. I stayed here for 23 days doing minor medical tourism and enjoyed friendly but unhappy people. If the price changes all is lost.

We stayed at this small hotel one night in San Jose. It’s very well situated in sight of the main museums. The people are very sweet and supportive. Breakfast was Costa Rican plus flavor. Room was small but adequate with a clean nice bathroom. We hung out on the balcony and made ourselves drinks. Only reservation was the traffic noise in our outward facing room. CR is expensive and this was great value.

We were in Room 7, at the back of the small courtyard. A good sized room, with a small table, chair, double bed and TV plus private bathroom. The shower took the chill off the water, which was just enough to be pleasant. The room and bed was comfortable. No fan or AC. We arrived and stayed Sunday night, so not much traffic during the day, but trains started around 4am and were pretty noisy. The owners are friendly and will help you with your Spanish. Edwin the dog (stroke only gently) is cute. Breakfast was good coffee with Rice and Beans and Toast. Wifi was good, but the signal wasn’t strong enough for my phone to connect in the room (only laptop). There’s a small sitting area by reception where the signal was very strong.

A supercalifragilisticexpialidocious family owned small hotel in the center of charming San Jose, Costa Rica. It can be floccinaucinihilipilification, although some time that is all you need. The price is right. The lovely free breakfast makes all the difference! Clean, with the "classic" San Jose "style". Recommended for "unspoiled" human beings. Pura Vida
