Bus to Quepos or Manuel Antonio right in-front running often. Great clean rooms and bathrooms. Shared kitchen is ok. Walking distance to bus terminal and many taxis also in the area. Very good for back packers or weekend stays.
Rooms are uncortable and dirty, toilet is trainspotting style. The price is cheap but you I will not come again in this place. The sayd the breakfast is included but you have to make and then cook your own pancakes. Worst hostel ever. The bus stop for manuel Antonio is in the front of the hostel and the trip takes 15 minutes
I have so many good things to say about this place. It’s super cheap AND breakfast included, showers are spacious and the water pressure is awesome, cheap supermarkets in Quepos just 5-10 min walk! All you have to do to get to Manuel Antonio park and beach is hop on the bus across the street for like 50 cents. Super easy. The vibe here is so laid back, they had reggae music playing and the staff is welcoming and wants you to hang out with them. Kitchen is clean and very equipped, plenty of space for food in fridge and cupboards. There’s a dog and a kitty which I LOVED. Overall such a lovely place, sweet staff, and great price. Felt like home!
I was traveling 3 month before I came to Pura Vida Hostel. Normally I did all the touristic stuff and kept traveling. But over here I found nice people and a cheap bed. Besides there is breakfast included. Chantal (the owner) is an amazing person and a character which I'm happy about to know her. They have nice private rooms over here and the short bathrooms are totally enough. The area is nice too. It's just down the street to quepos (10 min to a big cheap supermarket) and the bus station for the bus to the beach and the manuel antonio parc is in front of the hostel. I recommend this place to everyone who wants a nice time in Quepos and Mnuel Antonio.
I stayed in an 6 bed dorm with two of my friends and we were all miserable. There were spiderwebs and bugs everywhere, the sheets did not looks clean, and the pillows were gross. The worst part was that out of the 3 fans that were in the room, only one of them worked correctly and it was only directed at one bed. The shower was also disgusting. It had mold and spider webs all over. We enjoyed the kitchen and common space but the rooms are a deal breaker when we return to Manuel Antonio. I really enjoy staying at hostels but the rooms in this one just are just not good. We loved the cat and dog though... they were sweet.
