Nice location, comfy bed and nice rooms, excellent restaurent would recommend this hostel to anybody in Puntarenas The owner is a nice friendly and helpful person, good english speaking. I lost my credit card the first day and she really helped me out to find a solution for me i am forever grateful to her she saved my ass ! Thank you so much !!
This hotel is great, and the staff are incredibly nice! It is located behind the restaurant, and the rooms are really clean. They have a fan and A/C which is amazing! It is a small hotel, but perfect for a few days to relax. They have cute hammocks in the courtyard, and we had free breakfast with our stay. The breakfast was delicious, and they had a few options to choose from. It was so refreshing how nice and friendly everyone was. I would recommend this place and would stay there again!
My friend and I stayed here and it was amazing! The room was super cute and had air-conditioning. The bathroom was clean and had great water pressure. The restaurant served yummy food at a great price. We ate breakfast there every morning and our server was an older gentlemen who was super sweet, friendly and so welcoming. Another employee was also super welcoming and brought us fresh mangoes from her home. She always had a smile on!
A short walk from the bus station, as you would wish for in 32-plus degree temperatures. My room was clean enough but without much light and set in a quite dingy courtyard, the impression wasn't the best. A bit overpriced I think for what you get. Pleasant staff though and the breakfast was nice. Puntarenas is a cruise ship destination---not sure what the visitors think (or what the locals think of them either!) but they are quickly whisked away to more tourist-friendly places. I however liked Puntarenas for the very reason that it's not an obvious tourist haunt and it has a languid, quirky charm that I found appealing, so I stayed for two days. Various cheap eateries around, including Soda La Negrita, kept hunger at bay.
We stayed in the hostel for a few days and were very happy with it! The staff is absolutel amazing- they were very welcoming and friendly!! Breakfast was typical costa rican food: Gallo pinto with egg and platanos: Very yummy!! The rooms are quite small, we didn't have a closet... But for those who spend most of their time at the beach and just sleep in their rooms it's perfect. Just across the street there's the beach... Puntarenas is a place with many locals, so it's really not too touristy! We really enjoyed our time in Puntarenas and were happy with the hotel!
