Great Lodges in the Jungle with open bathroom. Very clean. You sleep in your own private lodge with hammock on the balcony and in the middle of the jungle. You hear the animals - it is amazing! Own hiking trails and also arranging tours to Corcovado national park. The staff asks for your preferences for food. Everybody is friendly and...

The rooms are in a lovely rainforest setting. You feel completely amongst the forest with birds really close (saw great tinamou from the room!). The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We spent a blissful Christmas morning in the hammock on our terrace. The rooms are arranged so that you very private and not overlooked. Staff are really friendly and...

Loved everything about this place. I stayed in a lodge with a friend and it was a good mix of "getting in touch with nature" and still having the comfort of a toilet. Our lodge did not have four walls, one wall was a tarp that opened up to the beautiful forest where there were monkeys! I was skeptical at...

What a gorgeous place! This was the second ecolodge-style place we stayed in Costa Rica, and although it was very different from the first, it was just as lovely. We only stayed 2 nights as a means to access Drake's Bay, but we wished we'd booked a longer stay. The room was charming, enclosed entirely in bug netting so you...

I stayed here for 3 nights with my grown daughter and 12-year old niece, and we had a wonderful time. The cabin was rustic but clean and comfortable, and the food was excellent - lots of fresh, locally grown fruits and veggies. Our guide Jairo was great - he took us on a night walk to see rainforest creatures like...

Not worth the price. Stayed at Paloma and Lapa Rios before, they were much better. No car, and you pay big bucks for pickups. Food is well presented but pricey for CR and you are stuck there. Not many animals if it's very hot. Loved the people though. Won't go back, sorry.

2.5 km from the tarred road lies this gem of a place. The bungalows are quirky but impressive - 2 beds inside and an artistic bathroom. The rooms had a porch for relaxing either on an individual bench or lounging in the hammock, feeling as if you are in the middle of the forest, surrounded by animals and other creatures!...

This is a neat hotel because you feel like the Flinstones. But the Danta in the title is misleading. LOCATION: We thought it's close to Corcovado, but it's not, unless you want to hike a LONG time. GROUNDS: Although it says Danta, there are no Tapirs here, and actually not that many animals compared to many other parts of the...

My husband and I stayed via Danta's package with the Saladero Lodge and would highly recommend it. It is not for people who want luxury in the traditional sense, however, for those who want to be immersed in nature, this is a fantastic spot. The package comes with a couple of tours of the jungle, one at night and one...
