Avatar Private Reserve is a beautiful project, located on the Osa Peninsula, very close to the renowned Corcovado National Park. We offer fully equipped villas (up to 6 people) in a completely private residential concept. Our beautiful villas are located in a way that privacy is always present. In addition to the comfort that the villas offer, all our clients can enjoy a beautiful pool with an infinite view, in addition to a hydro-massage. Being an extensive area (about 34 hectares) of which about 20 are primary forest, we have a beautiful trail, excellent for lovers of nature and bird watching, some of them endemic. This trail is designed to be suitable for most visitors. You can visit it on your own, or you can ask for a private (guided) tour, in this way you can be sure that an expert guide gives you a better view of the surroundings. Allow yourself to enjoy a destination full of adventure and, at the same time, relaxation. This part of the osa peninsula has beautiful beaches, many of them with little and almost no people nearby, which is why your visit becomes even more special. Visit Avatar Private Reserve, an experience you deserve to live !!!

This place was extremely disappointing, probably the most disappointing place I've ever stayed. Overall just a very bad place, I can't remember feeling like this about another hotel ever. Here's the reasons: 1) It bills itself as a 5-star resort. That's what I was expecting. It couldn't be farther from the truth. It was more like 1-2 star motel. It was nothing like a 5-star resort. I'm guessing they gave themselves that rating. You sleep in cheaply constructed, sweltering tents. 2) You can't lock your room. They don't give you a key. Anyone could walk up and slide your doors open at any time when you're away from your room. You just have to hope no one with bad intentions sees you walk away from it. 3) The showers on some of the units are not private! You can look right

This is quite a new property with a beautiful pool and a stunning with over the rainforest down to the ocean. Nevertheless, I would not never go back and here are the reasons: - on the website, the lodge markets itself as providing "incomparable luxury", but this statement could not be more deceiving. This is a beautiful backpackers' lodge with charges the prices of a Costa Rican 5 star hotel. - the website also promises yoga classes which are not offered as well as air conditioning in the villas which are only partially available (the villas have several rooms and only 1 bedroom can be cooled - the other bedroom and the living room get extremely hot). - the lodge is far away from the next town or from the beach. Do not go there unless you have a car. Each ride to town/beach

Nice place overall, but so many deficits. Just to name some: No curtains in the bedroom, so no privacy. No balcony furniture. Shower quickly changes from hot to cold. Breakfast pick up arranged 3 times and forgotten 3 times. No WiFi in the houses. You can’t get in without calling them (so better have a local SIM). Staff is nice though.

In This lodge, you will do, see, have everything you need to in this area! 1/ we were in luxury tent which was cosy, very clean, the view was amazing (on the ocean), but be ready to listen to birds in the early morning! 2/ we saw so many beautiful animals without even going on a tour, just watching the trees around. 3/ The place is cosy, the lobby is so cute. The pool s pretty great and the staff is lovely !! At the beginning we were a bit afraid with this road going anywhere, but we finally arrived and were very surprised by all the good things this lodge offers. 4/ they make very good food, like « home food », it s very tasty, it was a good surprise! This lodge needs to be more famous because the price compared to what they offer is not expensive. Just a little advice :

Beautiful place, fantastic view accompanied by sounds of the rain forest. Surprisingly comfortable accommodation in tents. Kind staff headed by Erick. Tasty vegetarian cuisine. Amazing nature around, very relaxing place, where you can calm down, unwind and just be.
