We stayed as a family of 4 in a deluxe bungalow. Casa Corcovoda Jungle Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. The trip via boat was quite an experience - a wet landing does mean wet so be prepared! Trails lead directly into the national park and there are several trails that can be explored on your own around the...

We did not really know what a "wet landing" was. By law no one can put a boat dock into the Pacific. You are picked up and dropped off by outboard speedboats landing on the beach. The men put your luggage into black garbage bags and put them in the front to keep them dry. Then you wade into the...

The staff is very accommodating and super nice. The grounds are spread out and immaculately kept. There is wildlife throughout---birds, monkeys, butterflies, acoati, even a couple of tapir. The walks in the jungle are challenging, and the bungalows far from the main area, which is great for privacy and animal watching, but can be daunting. The outdoor shower with its...

We visited Casa Corcovada Jungle lodge as the last stay of our wildlife national park tour of Costa Rica. We saved the best until last. our stay here provided us with everything we wanted. Good food and accommodation, excellent guides, fantastic scenery and the most amazing wildlife. All the staff and management team were very helpful and attentive and the...

Totally opposite to anything we have previously stayed in. Only accessible by boat, so 'wet' landing. Bungalows wonderful and quaint, although we had problems with the showers which were a bit hit and miss. Loved the atmosphere of evening and early morning

We do try to be unique and different though I think our secluded jungle setting gets a lot of the credit. I also love the early morning and and evening hours, the soft light that changes with each moment. I am bothered that there still are problems with the showers, we are planning a job to improve the situation in...

We have just had 3 wonderful nights here and no words do it justice at all The trip from the little airport along the river then Pacific was awesome but nothing prepared us for the place itself it's magic and I expected a genie to appear to pinch me and say "joke" your in the wrong place ! We were...

only accessed by boat, from the moment we started the transfer to the lodge we sensed it was going to be special, which it definitely was. We were fortunate transferring during at high tide, our guide took us through the mangroves, spectacular. Start to the day, also periodically stopping to see wildlife. The individual lodges are just what you'd expect...

After our stay in Liberia, The Fetching Mrs. Rat and I headed to Corcovado National Park for three days and two nights. We took a bus and a taxi(interesting but tiring) to Sierpe. Our two nights were spent at the lovely Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge. Not really knowing what to expect we chose the "Exclusive Adventure" Package at the Lodge....

I think this is a nice, complete but fairly concise review. Casa Corcovado is a good place to relax and get away from the world and I too recommend the night tour, you do get to see some cool critters and funky, funky bugs. I will try and see if I can do something about those troublesome monkeys and I...

I'm not sure why we put alarm clocks in our Bungalows when we have the Howler monkeys. Now that I think of it I maybe don't need my gardener as the Tapir seems to be doing a good job of trimming the garden. The Tapir, the biggest animal found in our tropical forest, thinks that I have made the worlds...
