This hotel is so cute... The grounds are beautifully maintained... Nicer than some of the expensive resorts I've stayed at in Thailand! The rooms are huge with large mesh windows - no glass anywhere so bring your ear plugs if you're a light sleeper cos it gets noisy in the jungle! Breakfast is wonderful with a choice of 5 options...

When we arrived in the city, every one told us not to go to the hostels on the beach "not safe".. We decided to stay one night in this more expensive hotel and we loved it. In the afternoon you can swim in the swimming pool with monkeys passing in the trees ... We loved it!

We stayed almost a week in Luz de mono and loved it, peaceful location albeit being a few steps away from downtown Montezuma and the beach, lush green surroundings, capuchin monkeys dropping in at their leisure, iguanas here and there.... Just gorgeous! The hosts were extremely helpful in times of need and always ready to advise when sought out. I...

We checked out of the horrendous Amor de Mar and thankfully into Luz de Mono. Great package with pool and breakfast included, plus literally across from the beach. But what sold it was Jeff, the nicest and most helpful guy. Always smiling and ready to help if you need anything. This hotel is wonderful, you see so much wildlife and...

Wow! What a place! The casita was perfect! We saw plenty of howler monkeys on the trees around us, then saw some white face monkeys near the reception area! Service, food, location was absolutely wonderful!

This hotel is the best! I stayed with my six year old daughter back in April and six months after she keeps telling me it was her best trip ever. She is begging me to come back, which I plan to do as soon as possible. This is a great hotel for families and/or couples. Rooms are spacious, clean and...

I must say, I loved my staying in Luz del mono. The hotel is divided in one main building, where there are the reception and the restaurant and other buildings with the rooms. These are 1 minutes walk, in a path in the middle of trees and flowers, from the breakfast area or the pool. We chose a twin room,...

We had a very nice one-night stay here while checking out the beautiful beaches of Montezuma. The staff was warm and friendly (very patient with my so-so Spanish!), and helped us easily upgrade to a suite so we could have a little more airflow and space. Basically a suite meant an extra twin bed in the room, nice big windows,...

Stayed in casita that had 2 beds, small refri, coffee pot, stove sink and a few plates and utensils. Well worth the extra for a/c. We only used it in the afternoon and early evening, turned it off at night and it was very pleasant. The pool overlooks the ocean and was very clean and inviting after a day of...

Rooms were clean and spacious, best was the pool, just need to lay on the sunbed and you can see the monkeys and iguanas. Excellent breakfast w 5 different choices to chose from. Lora the manager was very helpful and nice. Windows have only mosquito net and no glass so you could hear everything from other rooms, rain or animals....
