I've stayed at nya's for 8 nights paid 170 usd for each night!!! for the more expensive balcony view room . every morning at 8:00 there is MASSIVE CRAZY ZOMBA MUSIC in the studio next to the rooms and from the balcony room its just horrible and you wake up to a party in ibiza !!! unbelievable if you plan on sleeping and relaxing on your vacation or at least get a peaceful beautiful ocean sounds and birds in the morning as promised for a 170 USD night go to another place!!! so many more peaceful places to stay in montezuma I feel like I paid to much and got too little and when I said something to the manager he made me feel so bad I just checked out !! bad energy in total.
Our stay was only for a few days here. We stumbled upon this wonder oasis after a misfortune booking at a disastrous stay elsewhere(long story and not for this review). We were greeted at reception by Adrian, which was very kind and accommodating. After checking in and walking through the grounds in the evening to the sounds (and site) of Howlers and Capuchins, the smells of earth, and jungle after the rain...we felt so at ease. At the end of the path we were greeted by one of the hosts and proceeded to tell us about the grounds, and how the plantings were placed in symbiosis with the jungle, as was the the design of the buildings. All of it worked together. At night, when we came back to our rooms, we were always left a special treat from the kitchen. It was small touches like these, that made Hotel Nya stand out. The rooms were well appointed, even the smaller rooms (which is what we had). Don’t miss the morning breakfast. Our favorite was the Huevos Rancheros...with the most delicious tortilla. And, the coffee was wonderful! From the wait staff, concierge, reception, housekeeping and grounds, ALL were so generous, and seemed genuinely happy to help. We will definitely be staying here next time we come to Playa Montezuma! Oh!! One last thing...the location is perfection! The sounds of the waves just a short walk away, as is town, but you are distance enough to not hear the cars or traffic. Loved our stay at Hotel Nya.…
Pros: one of the newer hotels in the area, linens were nice, air con worked well, towels were clean. Cons: if you stay on the first floor (not sure about the second) be prepared for lots of small to medium sized ants and moths getting into your room through the spaces in the doors. I know we are in the jungle but something should be done to better seal those areas, particularly at night when there is a light on outside next to the door as it attracts the bugs. This was fine for a one night stay but would not want to stay for longer.
I have to say I had the most relaxing, spoiling week at Nya. Everyone was so caring of me especially the lovely women at the front desk Yanitza Coto!! Cannot fault my stay! I am hopeful to return ASAP.
We really thought Nya was great. Super friendly and the restaurant is superb. We were only there one night but we are planning a return trip to spend more time. The little town of Montezuma is super cool also.
