I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel :) The hostel has a great location a bit outside of the city center (5-min walk) which was great because it was really calm at day as well as at night. The dorms were clean and comfortable. It was nice having a balcony with a view on the jungle and the wildlife....

Stayed at Luz en el Cielo for 4 nights. The hostel has a great location a bit outside of the city center. The dorms are small but clean and the showers are really good. It's a very quit place, the common area is not very cosy and it is not used a lot. If you're looking for a place to...

This is a Beautiful and quiet hostel. Big kitchen for cooking. 3 minute walk down hill into town. That means walking up a steep hill every time you go back to the hostel. I didn't mind it, but if this would be a challenge for you, you probably shouldn't stay here. I stayed in the nicer, more expensive dorm and...

We stayed in one of the hostel's private cabanas. Nice and comfortable, a great view, and close to all of the wildlife of the jungle. Hands down the highlight and strength of this place is the friendly, helpful staff. Ensi and Hannah were there to assist us with whatever we needed and were always there to make our experience a...

I arrived in Montezuma after a quite adventurous tour along side the cost down from Samara. The small town is a great place to relax and just enjoy life. Luz en el cielo is a wonderful basis to do that. Suited slightly above the village, the little cottages and rooms make you feel like sleeping directly within the jungle. After...

I slept in the 4 person mixed dorm. The room was tided up every morning. Everything was clean and nice (it's really hard to maintain it in a tropical country). Location is perfect - 4 minutes far from the bus station. You can see monkeys and other amazing creatures while eating breakfast which is included in price. STAFF IS THE...

This hostel has a super friendly and helpful staff. Gave us good tipps for costarican food and hiking. The breakfast alternates between a tipical costarican gallo pinto and scrambled eggs. And pancakes. Both with fresh fruits. The rooms are really clean and since they just have bugg nets as windows, you feel like you are actually sleeping in the jungle....
