We took a chance and stayed two night this week 11/21 and was charged $70 plus tax. This hotel room had a view of the ocean - beware- all rooms face the pool and you need to look to your left to see the ocean. Only rooms at the end have a view of the beach. Ramone the guy working...

we had visited Manuel Antonio in 1991 and fell in love with the area. It is a totally natural setting and with the National Park at the end of the beautiful beach, we knew we had found a true Central American paradise. Back then there we stayed closer to Quepos, but took the local bus into the park every day,...

This self-proclaimed "funky" hotel was so much more for us that we extended our stay from 2 to 4 nights. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The location was fantastic! - just a few steps from the beach, a short walk to markets & Manuel Antonio park & quite close to great restaurants. We stayed in the "loft" &...

Loved the monkeys hanging out on the eaves in the reception area.! My daughter and I stayed here in late August during low season and the weather was spectacular! The park is literally a 5 minute walk and the beach is basically in the back yard. Very clean, A/C works great! Oscar at the front desk was a gem, providing...

This is definitely a good option for people looking to be right on the beach. The hotel is not perfect. the lighting in the room is kind of ugly and the pool area needs an update, but it is a REALLY great place to go if you want easy access to the beach! It is literally steps away. The hotel...

Stayed at Verde Mar in January and had a wonderful experience. Costa Rica is not Hawaii, and this is not elegance by any stretch. That said, it has a great location right on the beach and easily walkable to the small village and its restaurants. That is more important than it might seem at first glance since most of the...

I would like to give Hotel Verde Mar a better rating, but circumstances... It has all the right ingredients. 100 feet from first beach in the national park (which is free, and very long). We saw white face monkeys in the trees, and on the roof! We used the hotel's bogie boards and had a blast riding the waves! The...

The hotel is ideally located 10 minutes from the National Park and right on the beach. Our room was clean, large and included a small kitchen. The staff were kind and very helpful. We loved the pool and the beach access. However, the highlight was the restaurant. The chef there loves to cook and he made us two incredible meals....

I stayed here when I had only one night available and wanted to visit Manuel Antonio Park and the beach. The van took me to the hotel from Quepos Airport for $6, I dropped off my bags, and got advice from the helpful staff lady at the hotel desk. I walked to the park entrance and into the park and...

The hotel was a short walk -- 2-3 minutes from the beach which was great for travelers with family. We had our 1 1/2 year toddler with us..The staff overall was very helpful and great except some were not to friendly. They even provided free boggie boards...great part is the kitchenette, pool, as well as bbq outside. We met a...
