My husband and I stayed at the Bamboo Villa at Tulemar. It was absolutely incredible! The views were amazing and the service was impeccable. The restaurant was fabulous as well. We will be back again!

We arrived in the middle of the evening to this magnificently lit house. Brian and his team introduced themselves to our family with a warm and most welcoming greeting and immediately made us feel at home. The Tulemar team saw to our every need, from ensuring we arrived to a clean, well kept home after a day of canyoning or riding ATV's throughout the Costa Rican landscapes - they even washed and folded all our clothes from each excursion! Whenever we needed something, Brian was a quick call away and quickly saw to all our requests, including adding, at the spur of the moment, a extra beachside horseback riding event. We can't say enough about how well were treated, and how much we enjoyed the property, the people and the country. Definitely looking forward to our next trip back. Pura Vida

This is my first review on TripAdvisor. It is quite late, as we stayed in March. I cannot say enough about Tulemar. We were fortunate enough to have Ashley supporting our trip each step of the way - she always greeted our inquiries with kindness and patience. The team at the restaurant and beach were incredibly accommodating, made us feel like we were royalty. David always greeted us with a smile that you could see radiating, even through his mask. He went out of his way to make sure we had the perfect set up on the beach and always checked on us. I enjoyed his personable approach, asking about our family, sharing about himself - boy does he work hard, constantly moving and interacting with the guests. Emilio and Juan were wonderful - they were funny, helpful and worked incredibly hard to make our stay enjoyable. From the staff who worked the gate, reception desk and on, we felt incredibly welcomed. Every employee wore a mask, even outside. The sweet thin man who appeared to work in maintenance pointed out sloths in the tree- wore his mask all day long- you could still see his smiling eyes. Everyone seemed happy to work there. Our villa was spectacular beyond words. We were fortunate enough to rent Cielito. The layout was perfect for our family - having the bedrooms downstairs was perfect for our family. My husband and were able to enjoy coffee on the balcony upstairs, enjoying views of the Macaws and toucans flying above the beautiful canopy and of course the ocean views were spectacular. The walk to the beach was enjoyable - loved how the foliage was marked - it made me look forward to the walk. Our 12 year old daughter and her friend enjoyed seeing the monkeys on our walk and of course the sloths at the beach. They boogie boarded non-stop -- perfect waves in such warm water. My husband even swam to the public beach since there were few boats. We also enjoyed walking and sometimes jogging to the park which is only just under 2 miles away. Such a beautiful area, highly recommend any place in this lovely resort.

This was the most relaxing and enjoyable trip we've ever taken! We stayed at one of their villas, Mirazul. It was huge and had its own private swimming pool. My kids got a ton of use out of that pool. We are usually a very low maintenance family, but the daily maid service and concierge was included and was priceless. I received an email from our concierge Brian, moments after we confirmed our reservation. I asked him about transportation from the airport to the villa and he had it all arranged for us in less than an hour. He did an amazing job answering all my questions leading up to our stay, and a great job making our tour reservations and recommendations for us on our stay. Brian arranged all of our tours and we had the best tour guides. The "Full Day Waterfall" tour was the best. The tour guides helped with my 7, 10 and 12 year old to make it enjoyable for us all. My daughter celebrated her 12th birthday while we were there. I asked Brian about a place to get her a cake, and he insisted on taking care of it for us. He delivered a cake to the villa, complete with candles and balloons. I wanted family photos while we were there and he put me in touch with an amazing photographer. He also arranged to have our covid test down at our villa for our return to the US. Brian really took care of everything we needed. The villa had room service, that was quick, delicious, and very affordable. Everyone was wonderful about wearing masks. I never felt uncomfortable. The property has a private beach that we also enjoyed. I highly recommend taking their free shuttle to and from the beach because it is a very hilly trek. All of the people on the property and off were very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of food options just outside the property. We never found a place that we didn't like. There were also lots of little souvenir shops close by. We never walked more than a 1/2 mile to get everything we needed while we were there. We will be back, and we'd be more than willing to stay anywhere on the property. Best Trip Ever!!!

A friend and I stayed at Tulemar while visiting and I cannot say enough good things about the staff, location, and overall amenities. Rual was our concierge and was here for us every step of the way - whether it was excursion planning or identifying animals at our villa! The villas were clean, relaxing, and so comfy. The private beach with food service was great for a day with no planned excursions. The shuttle also made it very easy to get around the resort without getting lost. Will definitely be back!
