On our recent trip to Manuel Antonio (April 6-10), we stayed our first night at Byblos Resort (this was a last-minute booking because our plans changed and we couldn't extend our 3-night stay elsewhere). We arrived by car after dark on Good Friday. The staff was friendly and helpful at check-in. Our room was cool and clean (save for the...

Thank you for your comments, we appreciate you taking the time out of your busy day. Our standard deluxe rooms contain two American queen-size beds, and are generally considered spacious. The actual area is 35.5 square meters, or 382 square feet. One of the greatest asset of our setting is the abundance of wildlife. The overwhelming majority of our guests...

Overall we were very happy with our stay here. It is definitely "in the jungle" and feels like it. Nice amenities. The pool gets some sun. Good food at breakfast (they even let you pick off of a menu rather than a buffet). Many animals around the hotel, even watched a family of monkeys playing by the pool for hours....

Dear Valued Traveler, Our sincerest apologies regarding the bats that disturbed your stay. We are constantly encouraging them to move elsewhere, but it is one of the downfalls of living deeply in the jungle...nature can be a challenge at times! It is our #1 priority that guests get a good night’s sleep though, so we refuse to give up! Did...

The hotel presents nice premises surrounded by nature but to be honest the place is a lot smaller than it looks in pictures (pool area, restaurant, etc.) Rooms are perfectly clean and ordered but again, they do not look like the photos shown in its website. I am not saying they are uncomfortable, but they are way overpriced (I stayed...

What an amazing vacation we had in Costa Rica and the staff at Byblos had everything to do with why we loved it so much! After a long flight we arrived to a very clean room with champagne (our anniversary) and the cutest towel art. The hotel is situated in the jungle complete with monkeys, sloths and exotic birds. We...

Who knew sleeping in the jungle could be so nice! Many hotels at Manuel Antonio advertise their ocean view. Why choose that when you can be in the middle of the jungle, but just a few steps off the main road. The Byblos bungalows are especially welcoming, with comfortable interiors and a great balcony overlooking the jungle. The animals visited...

My wife and I stayed in one of the bungalows for seven nights in February, it was far and away the best experience we've had traveling. The sounds of the monkeys, bull frogs and other animals where terrific. The room and deck was perfect for watching all that Costa Rica offers. The staff was awesome!

Folks come for the fun indeed, yet noisey for rooms close to bar and casino. People loud after midnight. Don't stay here for peace amd quiet. Rooms cleaned every other day. Just too noisy.

Dear Traveler, If you truly stayed at our hotel, we’d love to speak with you directly and kindly ask that you contact us at Byblos. Our hotel has been in operation more than 25 yrs and we have always cleaned our rooms DAILY, unless otherwise requested by our guests. Therefore, we are quite surprised to receive this comment since we...

My husband and I stayed here in one of the bungalows for 3 nights. The front desk staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and the hotel grounds were amazing. Tons of flowering trees and gardens. A stream ran thru the grounds and we saw so many animals (lizards, birds, monkeys, aguidas, etc). The pool was nice...

We stayed in one of the bungalows and had the most amazing encounters with wildlife. Woke to howler monkeys every morning (awesome!), and got serenaded each night with the rhythm of the bullfrogs and other creatures. The room was large and comfortable, the deck the perfect viewing spot for our feathered, furry and scaled friends. The staff, particularly in the...
