Incredible people service oriented, the entire team were absolutely outstanding! My hats off to Mike and Melissa who really went beyond what is expected and made us want to stay longer and return ASAP. The room was spacious and clean, with a beautiful balcony surrounded by nature that invited animals to visit around. Highly Recommend.
We recently stayed at Byblos. Mikey and Diana, the new managers/co-owners, were very attentive and helpful. The rooms are nice, clean, with cool A/Cs and nice balconies. The pool experience is really neat, you can relax in the water and watch the scarlet macaws, toucans and monkeys. Our kids especially enjoyed that. Another plus is that it's walkable to several restaurants and shops. I know they have plans to make the hotel better, maybe we'll come back in a few years to see how that pans out.
Echo previous comments. The hotel is fine-clean rooms, nice showers, and the amenities you would expect. Great location-near the national park and Quepos. Breakfast was delicious. But most of all, Mikey and Diana made this place feel special. They run this place with a “How can I make your stay the best?” attitude. I truly feel like I now have two good friends in Costa Rica.
The owners Mikey and Diana were extraordinarily nice and helpful. Gave us a bunch of tips to get to Manuel Antonio and to eat around. Friendliest people we've met and great sense of humor. The room was very spacious and clean, comfortable and had all the amenities (Including microwave and mini fridge). Monkeys might wake you up first thing in the morning, they love jumping on the roof. If you get up very early (I woke up around 6am) you will see all sorts of wild life, including capuchin and squirrel monkeys, red macaws and other kind of birds. Just walk around the property you'll be impressed. It's an extension of Manuel Antonio's Park. Thank you guys so much!
I recently stayed at this location as part of a JetSet Vacations deal with a couple friends and the location of this hotel is perfect! This small boutique hotel is located within walking distance of restaurants and small shops, and just a few minute drive from several beaches in the area. (Be sure to look into Playa Biesanz, it’s a 10 minute drive from this hotel and much less crowded.) The hotel has recently undergone new ownership and the new owners (Mikey and Diana) were so helpful and accommodating with trying to make our stay truly special by recommending local areas to visit as well as greeting us in the morning for our complimentary breakfasts (and cooking it too on several occasions). The hotel needs a little TLC on the property which the new ownership is working hard to improve on as it has been overrun by a lot of the foliage, but the wildlife made up for that for us as there was wild monkeys, parrots, agoutis and more! If you’re a light sleeper though definitely bring ear plugs because those monkeys bang on the roof at first light and the howler monkeys can be a little scary to wake up to!! Also make sure to at least get one meal at the Jolly Rogers Bar at the hotel, the food is phenomenal, they’re particularly known for their wings. Other than some of the more cosmetic issues to the property, this place was truly a lovely place to spend a few beautiful nights with friends! …
