We stayed here in June and it was fantastic. It's a smaller hotel and very laid back. The views from the rooms, pool and deck are some of the best in Manuel Antonio. The food was very good but its definitely laid back. As long as you are looking for a place to unwind, free of

My husband and I spent our last 3 days on our honeymoon in Costa Rica here. The staff was amazing and very attentive. The bartender by the pool is just superior. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my drink as I swam around in the pool. The reggae music he

We stayed at La Mansion in early December 2018. This hotel was an enormous disappointment in just about every way. The staff seemed to not really understand English well even though they spoke it. Multiple times there were misunderstandings that I think were due to their poor

Dear Guest: As owner who lives on property to ensure that what you describe does not happen, I am shocked especially since despite our daily room calls, twice weekly complimentary guest receptions, and my personal Welcome Letter to new arriving guests, and Guest Comment Card System, this is the absolute first time I/we hear about your complaint and I wished you would have contacted me directly or any of my staff members when something like this happened. As you can see by most comments, we do go out of our way to please our guests and I am flabbergasted especially after talking to our four front desk staff members and Operations and Assistant Operations Manager. We, the hotel management are simply unaware of what happened. Since we do not operate the tours, we charge a modest 20% down payment in case of cancellation and ask the guest to settle the remainder with the respective tour operator. If the guest wishes to charge the tour to the room that is also no problem. Regarding the Cave Bar reservations are only needed for a private dinner in the Wine Cave - again we are dumbfounded, as with your "musical chairs" description with the bottles of liquor - each bar has its own par stock. and only Super Premium Brands come from the Cave Bar. Our four different bars have different operating hours and perhaps you caught my bartender when he was setting up the bars - Our Food service has a money-back guarantee and we have our kitchen and wait staff constantly checking AFTER the main course is served - we don't serve stale bagels or sour smelling fruit - my hotel is simply too busy for bread to get stale and if we did serve our food as you described we would receive scores of complaints, Once again begging the question WHY DID YOU NOT ASK TO TALK TO ME as our Welcome Lettter suggest? Scorpions in Costa Rica are non-poisonous and, again we don't have a single report of this on our Guest Comment Forms/Front Desk Report that all guest receive prior to check-out and rooms are sprayed monthly to control these pests. If these experiences indeed happened during a stay at my hotel as you described, I would appreciate you indentifying yourself, give met the arrival/departure dates and give me the room number of where you stayed - so I can make some amends. Right now I/we am/are clueless... Right now you are a ghost!

This was our last hotel of 4 on a 12 day trip, and we stayed at LMI 4 nights (over New Year's Eve). This is going to be long-winded, so if you're in a hurry move on. But I have strong feelings about this place. Check in started out unusual when Octavio abandoned his post at the

Do the deluxe king rooms have good ocean views?
Yes, they have both a great view of the playa at Manuel Antonio and private balconies, which were visited by capucin monkeys on occasion and we are able to sloths as well as large basilisk lizards and iguanas and toucans and other great birds from our balcony.

Dello We appreciate your contact, We are at 10 minutes by car to the Main Beach in Manuel Antonio, but you can walk to one small beach that is close to our hotel, the name is Biezans beach, really nice, usually there is not many people around, perfect location to rest and have a nice swim. Have a great day

You can take public transit...very long. You could take a taxi...could be costly You can take a domestic flight from san jose to quepos and then a taxi from there. The taxi would be about 20 us dollars you would have to look into flights for pricing. I have flown twice from the airstrip in la fortuna to quepos with no trouble or worries and both times gone to la mansion the 1st time by taxi and the second time by private transfer. We used anywhere Costa Rica for all our arrangements and found them to be reasonably priced and a great source of information. Look them up and ask fo Leonard we have used him both times and he is amazing im sure they would be able to help you out. Have a great trip
