We, a young student couple, stayed in a private room with ac. And payed 40 dollars p. Night. The breakfast is simple butt ok, so was the room. The shared arreas were nice. The pool was a bitt dirty though. The service of the staff was excellent, good info and help with all our issues. But the price you pay... More

When I was here they were doing some pretty major construction works (October 2015), which meant a lot of noise and the kitchen not being available too much. That being said, it was a decent place to be with basic facilities. The pool looked very depressing and I didn't see anyone going there

Ok.. so I really liked this place, but... The people were cool. The front desk staff were great. Great crowd. Good common area. Good location. Affordable. However, I stayed 2 nights and there is a gentleman who works there I caught blatantly and red handed standing outside the window to the dorm I was staying in with a female friend... More

Stayed in the hostel in a 8 bed dorm for two nights. Room was okay with fans and lockers. There's a great openair kitchen with huge fridges and you get free pancake breakfast with pineapple, coffe and tea. From the kitchen/ community area you have a great view and you can easily get in contact with other travellers :) About... More

Stayed at 10 different hostels in Costa Rica and this by far was my favorite. Meet a lot of good people and some good friends. The bar had an amazing view and the prices were fair. It has a very unique yet welcoming atmosphere.

There is a bar down the hill from the hostel next to their pool that plays extremely loud music til very late. I had a private room facing the direction of the bar. I sleep with a sound machine and earphones that usually block out noise and all I could hear is the bass of the music and couldn't sleep.... More

Clean, comfortable and, with the bus running to the beach/park every 15 minutes, a convenient place to stay. The staff were also very helpful in providing local information and assisting with onward travel.

Based on the reviews I read I was hopeful that this place was going to be at least comfortable and updated. This was not the case. I had a private room with shared bath. The ac barely worked and was very much needed & the shared bath was not very nice. I had never actually used a suicide shower before... More
