Casa Chameleon was the best place I have every stayed. Every morning I woke up, I flung open the curtain, opened up the large wall sized doors and laid back in bed and just enjoyed the sites, the noises and the fresh warm air. Eventually, I would find the motivation to climb out of the warm cozy bed and I would go out onto my private patio with a beautiful swim out pool and just relax for a little longer in the hammock. Of course while relaxing I would play some beach vibes music through the bluetooth "Marley Get Together" speaker. After lounging I would make my way to the outdoor restaurant and get a delicious breakfast, I often changed up what I got each morning because I needed to try everything on that menu. It was all amazing, and it all came with a fresh juice and an amazing cup of two of coffee. From there, I would take the ATV that the Concierge (Karen, who was so amazing) always so kindly arranged for me and I would go into town or out to the adventure my group had decided on. We did an amazing ATV tour that included zip lining, swimming under a water fall and a gorgeous hike, we did a fishing trip, a trip to the Tortuguero where we saw three giant whales, and of course visiting the towns nearby to eat and shop. After our day of adventure we would come back to Casa Chameleon and eat the most delicious dinner. Each dinner came with an appetizer, entrée, soda or juice, and dessert. I believe I was able to try every appetizer (our group often shared since we each got our own), I had most of the entree's and honestly loved every single one, and of course the dessert was always amazing. We also had several drinks made by Jaodie, Alfredo, Steven, and Andy. They all were so great. All four of them worked the restaurant and they were all great to talk to and make excellent drinks. I have never been somewhere that had such an amazing staff. Every person was not only super polite, but they were funny, informative and warm. At night our group would often make our way to one of the private villas and just play cards and chill and then go off to our separate rooms to wind down. Me and my husband loved hanging out in or near the pool and see all of the bright beautiful stars. This is place you can go with some friends and have a wonderful time and then be off with your spouse in your own villa and have more of an intimate time. I will 100% be coming back!

We have never been able to be pampered like this and Casa Chameleon made our honeymoon the most incredible experience. They have truly spared nothing in making every single person's stay the most memorable and relaxing. Very quiet and secluded (though the road getting there was a bit...sketchy) which just added to the charm. Staff was wonderful. Food was wonderful. I wish we could have stayed longer than three nights. Worth every penny.

My bf and I LOVED this place. Pictures could never capture the beauty of Casa Chameleon in Mal Pais. The wait staff were exceptional in everything they did. This resort has a max of 20 people. Very private and never a crowd. I truly did not want to leave. I felt blessed to experience this beauty.

We had an absolutely amazing honeymoon in Costa Rica. Our private villa at Casa Chameleon Mal País was breathtaking, peaceful, and relaxing. The food was delicious, the service was good, and the people were beautiful! It was the best winter getaway for our honeymoon... felt like we got the best sleep ever. Noelia was the best concierge at the resort. She took great care of us and made sure to maintain constant communication which made our stay easy. Marco was our favorite server and extremely professional. Whenever Marco was working, he made us feel like we were home away from home. He had such great energy. We highly recommend staying here, but note that although the food was yummy the menu is basically the same every day. The food on the island is superb and fresh so while you’re out on the town, stop and try some of the surrounding restaurants. Also, if you’re wanting a television, you’ll have to bring your own iPad to watch downloaded entertainment... it’s not really needed, so enjoy the peaceful getaway on this astonishing island! We will return.

We had such a phenomenal time at Casa Chameleon. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Alfredo, Jairo, and the whole staff were amazing! They made us feel right at home and the service was top notch. We had so much fun getting to know the whole Casa Chameleon family. Plus the food and the rooms are just amazing! We will be back. Pura vida. Brett & Kenny
