We just returned from a 2 week stay in Costa Rica. Saladero Eco Lodge was first on the trip and a wonderful introduction to the area. We stayed in the Beach House which was roomy and comfortable. I was worried about the heat and humidity but was pleasantly surprised by the cool breeze blowing about 80% of the time. This...

Gorgeous beach front; informative, friendly, down to earth owners and staff. Comfortable cabin and delicious food. Would of liked to stay longer. We woke up to the sound of Howler monkeys and you really hear the rainforest wake at night. Went kayaking with dolphins about 20 feet away, saw lots of wildlife, and plants. Beautiful!!!

What a lovely breath of fresh air in how to experience Costa rica. Opposed to the crowded city tourist atmosphere you find places like quepos, saladero ecolodge provides a personal touch, with an out in the wilderness feel. They produce theyre electricity with solar, and have solar lanterns for your room. Next the food, oh my the food, made from...

A brilliant "hide-away" for those who like to enjoy Costa Rica nature in a relaxed family environment off the beaten track - there are no roads there! You get there by boat or kayaks as we did. You can borrow fishing gear, simple kayaks and even rubber boots for a nice walk in the jungle. We appreciated chatting with other...

Your visit starts the moment Harvey picks you up from the jetty in Golfito. The 3/4 hour trip to the lodge runs past steep, forest covered hillsides reaching down to the shore with occasional less steep bays containing a few huts or another lodge hiding there. Harvey chatted to us while we traveled telling us all about the area and...

We spent 4 nights at Saladero Eco Lodge and were so sorry to leave, mainly due to the camaraderie we felt with Harvey and Susan. From start to finish we felt cared for, from the time capable Harvey picked us up to travel by boat to the lodge to the time we left. The meals were some of my favorite...

Our stay at Saladero lodge with Susan and Harvey was our best experience in our 3 weeks trip to Costa Rica! The trip started with a 45 min boat ride from Golfito to access the lodge, during which we were lucky to see Dolphins playing around on the way. The place has something magical about it. It feels like a...

The Saladero Eco Lodge had my favorite setting in Costa Rica with its park like grounds, animal filled ancient forests behind, and a view looking across the gulf. With boat in access only , the tranquility is perfect and was the only place I went for days without hearing the sounds of noisy motorcycles or weedwhackers that you get in...

Harvey and Susan were wonderful hosts. The food was healthy and great each day. The activities available on-site or within a few minutes were fun and educational (hiking in primary and secondary rainforest, kayaking in mangroves, snorkeling, bird watching, etc.). This is an excellent location if you want to "get of the grid" for a few days and get back...

My partner and I recently stayed at the Saladero Eco Lodge. Overall, we mostly enjoyed our stay. There were many perks and a few, albeit important things we felt could have been better. I'll list them here: Pros: 1. Absolutely delicious meals. Harvey, Susan and their kitchen help made incredible food for each meal. This was probably our favorite part...

Thank you very much for taking the time to post a review for us. We really appreciate any constructive criticism and look forward to improving our customer experience. We are remote and there are no other restaurants close by. We serve family style usually with additional food for anyone with an bigger appetite. In the past customers complained about having...
