We stayed at Saladero as part of the three lodge package, and wished we could have stayed longer. While all three lodges are absolutely fantastic, it's the personal commitment Sue and Harve bring to it, that sets Solidero apart. This is the first time I have felt moved to write a review, but words and pictures don't really capture it,...

This was the third lodge we stayed in on the Osa peninsula as part of the package arranged by Harvey from Saladero. All the lodges were wonderful and Saladero was a lovely lodge to end this part of our Costa Rica adventure. I loved the garden and we were treated to a garden tour by Susan, the garden as hammocks...

Our extended family of seven (five teens/young adults plus two active--but slightly creaky--adults) stayed at Saladero for a week over the winter holidays. Between the tranquil and extraordinarily beautiful setting, and Susan and Harvey's exemplary hospitality, each of us had a wonderful time. We found plenty to keep us happily occupied: fishing from the point and from kayaks (Harvey took...

My wife and I spent the first week of February 2016 at Saladero. I longed for a warm respite from Canada's winter. I had created a mental image of what I most wanted--and Saladero fulfilled it. Saladero is a small lodge well off the beaten path. It offers simple, clean accommodations, great home-cooked meals, and wonderful hosts. The compound sits...

We stayed at Saladro Lodge for three nights as part of a seven-day package around Corcovado National Park. Saladero Lodge is only accessible by boat and is in a fairly remote but fantastic location on the east coast of Golfo Dulce. We were picked up in Puerto Jimenez and arrived in the beautiful setting of Saladero Lodge. On the way,...

BEAUTIFUL place. Heaven on Earth. Lovely couple owns and runs the eco lodge. Excellent food. Beach/gulf is very clean and clear water. Dolphins too!! They also provide free kayaks and paddle boards to use. Very neat trails surround the property for hiking and photography - excellent site for wildlife.

Saladero Eco Lodge was the first of 3 lodges Harvey organized for us to visit. He and Susan have done a wonderful job in operating and maintaining this little piece of heaven. On our orientation tour Susan and Maya-dog showed us where the jungle trails were, the edible native plants grown for the kitchen, flower identification and the purpose of...

We just returned from a 2 week stay in Costa Rica. Saladero Eco Lodge was first on the trip and a wonderful introduction to the area. We stayed in the Beach House which was roomy and comfortable. I was worried about the heat and humidity but was pleasantly surprised by the cool breeze blowing about 80% of the time. This...

Gorgeous beach front; informative, friendly, down to earth owners and staff. Comfortable cabin and delicious food. Would of liked to stay longer. We woke up to the sound of Howler monkeys and you really hear the rainforest wake at night. Went kayaking with dolphins about 20 feet away, saw lots of wildlife, and plants. Beautiful!!!

What a lovely breath of fresh air in how to experience Costa rica. Opposed to the crowded city tourist atmosphere you find places like quepos, saladero ecolodge provides a personal touch, with an out in the wilderness feel. They produce theyre electricity with solar, and have solar lanterns for your room. Next the food, oh my the food, made from...
